| LOGIC POINT, BANGALORE January �97 - May �97 Socket Based Chat This socket-based chat was developed for commercial purpose. Designed the User Interface as well as set up the socket. The server side was set up using the Server Socket Class, instead of using the SUN.NET package. There were two programs, the server side program was a Java Application and the client side one was a Java Applet. The client side User Interface consisted of the entry fields, its validations, as well as getting connected to a particular port on the server. The project was in an enhancement stage where a client could send his messages privately to his interested parties who were logged onto the server. Developed the Applet. Provided all the facilities for rapid GUI development with JAVA. It helped out in integrating databases with its own built-in wizard. The backend database could be either MS SQL or MS Access.
