The Hike:
The mother of all hiking trails. You'll need very good shoes
to hike this trail in and take plenty of water. Be prepared to
spend at least 7 hours up and back, more or less depending on
your fitness level. If you hike this in the summer you should
start very early in the morning so as to avoid the dangerous
afternoon thunderstorms. Once you reach Barr Camp there is water
and restrooms. In addition, they have first aid facilities.
If you are able to finish this trail without problems, you
might think about training to hike to the top of the Peak.
Notes:
The first 3.5 miles you climb 3,000 ft, make sure you have clothes for any kind of weather.
