Champlin Lanphear was born July 14, 1750 in Westerly, Washington Co., Rhode Island, and married Rebecca Babcock, daughter of Joseph Babcock and Susannah Thompson, on March 9, 1772, in Westerly. �He died September 8, 1797 at sea. �
Champlin served in the Revolutionary War as a 2nd Lieutenant in Captain Adam's Company of Colonol Elliott's Regiment of Artillery, Rhode Island Militia.

Jesse B. Lamphere was born about 1821 around Groton, Connecticut and died in November 1909 in Westerly, Washington County, Rhode Island. He married Sarah H. Grinnell in 1849. who died of Typhus Fever a few months later. Jesse married her sister, Hannah W. Grinnell, daughter of Oliver Grinnell and Sally Winslow, �on July 4, 1850 in Groton, Connecticut.

2. �Henry Albert Lamphear was born on December 27, 1856 in Westerly, Washington County, Rhode Island and died before 1865.

4. �Nettie Swain Lamphear was born on September 16, 1865 in Westerly, Washington County, Rhode Island.
5. �Henry Albert Lamphear was born on July 8, 1867 in Westerly, Washington County, Rhode Island and died on February 22, 1926 in Marcus Hook, Delaware County, Pennsylvania. He married Mary A. Bulmer in Lewes, Sussex County, Delaware on November 14, 1886.
6. �Sarah J. Lamphear was born on September 8, 1869 in Westerly, Washington County, Rhode Island.
My descendancy is from Henry Albert Lamphear and Mary A. Bulmer. Henry was a mariner/whaler, cook, and owned and operated a bakery/restaurant in Marcus Hook, Delaware County, Pennsylvania before his death.

3. �Edna L. �Lamphear was born on August 6, 1893 and died March 18, 1984. She married Harry N. Speer first and Dr. Ralph Powell of Delaware County, Pennsylvania, second.
4. �Helen Grace Lamphear was born on October 8, 1900 in Westerly, Washington County, Rhode Island and died on May 31, 1981 in Delaware County, Pennsylvania. She married Harry Edgar Harner on February26, 1919. After his death, she married Henry Johnson of Trainer, Delaware County, Pennsylvania.
Helen Grace Lamphear and Harry Edgar Harner were my grandparents. I have considerable information on their descendants.
