Chapter Seventy Nine

After reconciling the greatest grievances,
there will always be little grievances left not reconciled.
[To return grievance with virtue]
therefore harmonious reconciliation is best for all.

(Heng: I really dislike the commentator who write the third bracketed sentence. Furthermore, most translators do not really understand the front two lines and think that all grievances must be reconciled if not there are little grievances left. This is incorrect. It is because that a great grievance is reconciled that it leaves little grievances that cannot be reached. True justice is secondary, Harmony is the best way for reconciliation.)

Therefore the Enlightened holds the Leftist Orientation
and does not push responsibility to others.
(Heng: The Leftist Orientation is the one that uses the Dao, not the self-glorified means of using force or justice for instilling changes.)
With virtues, one teaches it as directives,
without virtues, one ensures they are carried out for completion.

Heaven's Way has no relatives,
it simply stays with the person who truly understands it.
