| Chapter Thirty He who uses Daoism to help the Emperor, does not train his army to conquer the world, for eventually this will return to destroy the country. (Heng: Nuclear Weapons... frightening) Where the Military Leaders are, thorns have already grown and spread; what follows after the army, are years of unpredictable threats. Therefore the Karma of such should be understood, one should not attain a reification of the 'Strength' ideal. (To apply Daoism, one should understand and practice of) The fruits of non- glorification, the fruits of non- self achievements, the fruits of non- pride orientations, the fruits of non- ideological enforcements the fruits of non- 'strength' itself. When one reaches saturation and decadence of the 'Strength' ideal, one is not following the real Dao. If one is not following the real Dao, one is risking its prematured termination.
