First Game
And thus I began my first game with Ah Ji, and officially entered the divine realm of Weiqi.

Soon I discover that Weiqi is a fantastic game... well 'fantastic' is an understatement. Not only is the game really intriguing and complex, I also realized that Weiqi is really alive. As I learnt along, it is just like carving a dragon from ivory or jade. With each of your move, the carved dragon is slowly coming to life under your construction. When finished, the creature suddenly gives a roar and flies up into the sky...! It has become real on the board! And now you can use your dragon to attack you enemies' seeds and further your ends!!

Such is the experience of playing Weiqi!!
Simply exhilarating!! No other chess or board games can rival the beauty of the game!!
Addiction
After mastering the basics of the game, I must say that I have
become addicted to it beyond help. Every move of my seed becomes alive as I add more onto the board. The unpredictable, complex patterns of the game soon captured my imagination.

After my first game, I became eager to learn more. Ah Ji then told me to come again tomorrow. Needless to say, I came day after day... one day after another without rest. Soon I was involved in delving deeper into its secrets...

As I was learning, Ah Ji then told me that he was actually a member of the Weiqi Society. Needless to say, he also invited me to join his club as well. However, I couldn't. I told him about my commitment to the Chinese Society and explained that the timing of activities clashed. Given this difficulty, it is almost impossible to juggle two ECAs.

Ah Ji did not persist and continued to coach me. in fact I was his disciple all the way until he left school. As Ah Ji was my senior, he graduated one year before me. After he had left, I had no one to play the Weiqi with...
