The Regrettable lack of Brotherhood and Islamic Values in some sections of the Muslim Populace by A.R.
In the struggle for freedom and justice, we cannot win if we do not seize the moral high ground. From the observation that some who call themselves Muslims talk of brotherhood, yet behave in ways even those who are not Muslims avoid with their fellow co-religionists shows the idiocy and hypocrisy which is rampant in our nation. This in itself is enough to throw a believer from the fold of Islam. Muslim people must be conscious and aware of those among us who do not share our values, for if anything good is to happen, they will destroy it. As the Quran teaches us, those hypocrites are to be abhorred and one should not let these people's unpleasant words demoralize an individual.
I would like to make it abundantly clear that people should choose their close friends and associates very carefully as there are many snakes hiding in the skins of Muslims. We live in a time where those who truly believe are a minority in the world and the trend toward Westernization and corruption of family values is ruinous to our societies. The situation is very different today, where two kin may conflict of interest, yet a true friend from outside the family may be the greatest supporter to one. The cherishment and love of the past ages for kin and tribe are gone forever. This in part is due to capitalism and the rampant selfishness sweeping the world. To gather as many consumer goods as possible to enhance the quality of life. It is rather laughable as in the West, scientists measure quality of life of individuals by how much money they make. As if this is a thing easily measurable! Nay, this idea is completely wrong. It is spirituality and faith which increases the quality of life. This can be seen by how the Western billionaires commit suicide from loneliness, whereas a poor Muslim dying of hunger would perish with a smile on his face. We need to realize the importance of life, sadly most of us have forgotten how.
