Why he kicks ass: he's friggin hilarious, though at times he doesn't mean to be-which just makes it funnier.
Job: Kicking bad guys' butts and keeping Fawkes in line-which is close to impossible.
How he got there: he was assigned to be his partner from the start. Who better to keep an invisible rookie in line than an experienced bi-polar agent?

Why he kicks ass: charming smile, quick wit, obsession with quotes, great fashion sense, nifty hair.... what's not to like?
Job: Works mostly against his will for a secret government agency known only as "The Agency".
How he got there: his bro bailed him out of jail so that he could participate in an experiment which resulted in the quicksilver gland being implanted in his brain.
Significance: he's the Official's lackey and soap opera buddy
Special Abilities: Wiz at numbers and a computer genius
Why he kicks ass: he manages to put up with Hobbes' teasing without punching his face in. Oh, and he kicks butt on the playstation.
Job: keeping the Official happy, doing taxes, keeping tabs on their spending, and staying out of Hobbes' way
How he got there: transfered from the IRS a not long after Fawkes was recruited for the Agency.
Significance: most recent addition to The Agency staff
Special Abilities: 5-Star agent
Why she kicks ass: she started out as a bit of a bitch, but we quickly learned why. Her love for her child is quite astounding.
Job: being a pain in the butt and ordering Fawkes and Hobbes around as if she were their superior.
How she got there: transfered from the Department of Health and Human Services once she realized that The Agency was hot on the trail of the very group that stole her kid.
Significance: he's the guy in charge of The Agency
Special Abilities: denying Hobbes' requests for a raise with gusto
Why he kicks ass: because, even though he can be a prick at times, he's actually a lot better than some of the other guys that wanted his job.
Job: keeping the agency up and running
How he got there: I imagine he ticked off a few superiors down the line and they assigned him there as a bit of a joke. Guess who got the last laugh?
