I am a writer, just jotting a few words on a page, hoping they merge to form a sentence, and hopefully, forming a paragraph that has meaning and tells a story. I like writing short stories, usually in the third person, of fictional accounts. Any resemblance to any person or situation is purely coincidental. I would love to give the world another novel, an original.
I am currently writing to improve my quality and workmanship. I have always loved words and words fitted together to form sentences. I once had a teacher that said that words should fit together like a mason fits together bricks to form a wall. Perhaps at the end of the work, I'll have accomplished building some sort of dwelling, a place for a story to dwell. I hope I am able to accomplish this. There are many different ways of stylizing the words in the stories. A lot of my current reading is in the genre of heroic epic or bildungsroman. James Joyce uses this genre in his autobiographical account, Portrait of a Young Man as an Artist. It is a good read, and Joyce is always good for the soul.
