Conclusion: Scooter choice is according to the rider. For me, a highschool student -- the electric scooter is great for fast and fun rides to and from school and to friends houses etc., costing very little to maintain, however someone who has the need for speed and wants a scooter for racing or offroad riding would most likely choose a gas scooter. Also, their are scooters that fall into opposite categories aswell. There ARE many gas scooters made just for the purposes of casual street riding, and their ARE electric scooters for off-road and racing. Good luck making your choice!
