Players Equipment: Glove - Helmet - Cleats - Bat A rule of thumb when purchasing a glove Select a glove that is recommended for T-Ball use. Determine a right or left handed glove by playing catch. Right handers will use a left handed glove. Left handers will use a right handed glove. A reasonably priced glove can be purchased at Models, Dicks Sporting Goods, Target & Sports Authority. Left handed gloves are less common and may be a little harder to find. Several bats will be provided by George and I, but if you are interested in bringing your own, there are several sizes that are acceptable for Coach Pitch and age appropriate. Aluminum only (No Wooden Bats) up to 16 ounces in weight, 25 or 26 inches in length. A rule of thumb when purchasing a bat The player should be able to hold the bat perpendicular to his or her body with one hand without allowing the head of the bat to drop. If this happens, select a lighter bat. Baseball cleats (not required) must be rubber. If you are planning on purchasing, please add a 1/2 size due to the baseball socks that are provided as part of the uniform. As proud parents you will want to capture the moment with pictures. We would love a copy of your photos for our team website. Practice and Game pictures will be greatly appreciated. Pictures can be emailed as .jpg attachments to be added to the team website @ www.geocities.com/gacrangers |
