Community Home Finding and Referral Program, Bldg 2621, Soldiers Plaza, Fort Benning, Georgia. (706) 545-3921. * This office will provide housing packets and other informa- tion that might be helpful to transitioning soldiers and family members.

Upon your arrival, all military personnel assigned to Fort Benning are required to report to this office before en- tering into any lease, rental or purchase agreement for off-post housing. If you are on permissive TDY, you must come to our office while on P-TDY (before you sign in to post off leave) to have your DA 31 stamped by CHRRS. The DA 31 must be approved by LTC or above, with signature and title to be valid.

Apartment rentals are plentiful but are also expensive. Short- term rental (less than six months) are extremely difficult to find. Most require a one-year lease for houses and a six month lease for apartments. If you have a pet, your selection is cut in half. Apartments have a weight restriction on size of pets-no more than 20 pounds.
