The Omer is counted every night from the second seder until

Shavuot (feast of weeks)

The Bracha is as follows:

Baruch Atah Adoshem, Elokeynu Melech Haolam, Asher Kideshanu b'mitzvotav, Vetzivanu Al Sefirat Haomer

Praised are You, O Lord our G-d, who sanctified us with Your commandments, and commanded the Counting of the Omer

Hayom __________ Yamim, (Shehem ____ Shavuot V'_____ Yamim) Laomer.

Laws Of Sefirah

It is traditional to not do the following things between Pesach and Lag Baomer (or Shavuot)

• Cut hair
• Shave
• Hold Parties
• Get Married
• Attend concerts (some: listen to music)
  • These restrictions are suspended on: Chol Hamoed Pesach, Yom Ha'atzmaut, Rosh Chodesh, Lag Baomer, (Yom Yerushalayim)
