Setting: This story takes place during ‘Send In the Clones’. Contains some spoilers for the ep. Three fans clone the Xena and Gabrielle, who find them selves face to face with the Lucy and Renee. Ares is in this as himself, special appearance by Hercules also playing himself. Professor Arianna Papas from the Destiny Series also makes an appearance. Now all is said and done, on with the story. Just for the story's sake I have eliminated Alti. (I never did like her much anyways)

The three women just finished the cloning and began downloading the programs needed to waken them. The Machine beeped, Polly went to it and discovers the readings indicated the programming was working. She turned around to see that Xena had opened her eyes. She quickly scanned the room searching for her friend. She found her lying beside her on a table. They were both on an inclined table with to arms rest strapped around their bosom and lower section. Other then that they were both naked.

Xena glared at the women as she approached her and introduced herself.

“Hello Xena, my name is Polly, welcome back.”

Xena tried to struggle against the restraints. Gabrielle looked at the women, “Where are we? Why do you have us like this?”

Polly smiled, ”Sorry but it was necessary. If you will hold on a few minutes we will have you out of there and tell you why you are here.

The women released the two and explained that they were clones of the famous duo and that they were now in the 21 century about 2 thousand years from where they started.

Xena & Gabrielle were dumbfounded.

“We are that far away from our world. But how do you know about us?” asked Gabrielle who was still more confused then ever.

Arianna stepped forward, “ Well Gabrielle, it is because of your scrolls that we know of you two, and the television show. You guys have quite a following in the time.”

Xena and Gabrielle looked at each other, “A what?”

“My scrolls made it this far? I can’t believe it.”

Polly smiled, “Yes they did, and it was the discovery of them that brought you guys’ back into history.” She went on to explain how their relatives found the ancients scrolls around 50 years earlier.. and Xena’s latest relative, Professor Papas keep the scrolls and they history alive. She had been the one to uncover the last of the scrolls and they were going to be displayed. She also tried to explain the TV show, though it seemed to confuse them even more so she dropped the subject.

The two warriors sat trying to take in all the information that had just been given to them. It was hard; they couldn’t believe what had taken place.

Polly looked at her watch, “Oh shoot, we’re going to be late for class.”

She handed Xena and Gabrielle their clothes and told them she would be back later with some more information to help them adapt to this new time line. Then she and Megan left.

Gabrielle looked at Xena, “I still can’t believe this. Could this be one of our reincarnations?”

Xena just shook her head, “I don’t know, it very well may be.”

The other woman, who had stayed behind spoke up, “ Hi is there anything you need?”

Xena rubbed her stomach, “Well we are kind of hungry, ya got any food?“

“Oh yes, hang on a sec.”she said as she handed Xena a box of donuts

Xena looked at them strangely, ”What is this?”

“They are donuts.”

Gabrielle took a donut and bit into it. “MMMMM these are good. Xena, it is kind of like those sweets you ate when you were Princess Diana.”

Xena took a bit out of the treat, she nodded in agreement.

Arianna sat the two warriors down and explained the television concept to them, showing the some of the footage that they were programmed with She was amazed that they had retained some actual memory. She discovered this when Gabrielle keeps correcting the episodes, telling her exactly what happened.

She got up, “I have to run out for a minute, sit and relax a bit. I’ll be right back.”

Xena looked around the room, “I want to look around a bit. We need to get our bearings.” she said as she started for the door. Gabrielle grabbed her arm.

“Xena don’t you think we should stay, I’m mean this is a whole new world we have no idea what is out there.”

“Well it’s a good way to find out don’t ya think?”

Before Gabby could stop her she was out the door, “Ok here we go” she sighed following her friend.

Arianna came back with a male friend. She stopped short when she didn't see the 2 women right way.

“Xena? Gabrielle?” She called looking around, “Xenaaaaaa? Gabrielleeeeee?”

Her companion came up from behind," Where are they?”

“I don’t know. I left them here watching the tapes.”

He grabbed her by her neck; “you left them here alone? The God of War is not happy.”

She wrestled free and glared at him, “Look buddy, I don’t care if you are the God of War no one grabs me like that. You wanted your girlfriend back, I brought her back. It isn’t my fault if she and Xena decided to take off.”

Ares scoffed; “we need to find them before they get themselves into problems.”

‘Well Duhhhhhhhhhhh.” Ares glared again.

“Come on”

They both left in search of the missing clones

Meanwhile at the other end of the city, there was a huge Hercules and Xena convention going on. All of the cast members were there. It was the biggest one ever held in the history of the two shows.

And where were Xena and Gabrielle? Well they had managed to get into a few problems. Nothing big, just getting arrested, fighting off the demon cars.. Nothing out of the usual, except for the enormous amount of police scouring the city looking for them.

The two had managed to get their way into the convention and wound up backstage. They ducked into a dressing room closet. A group of people walked into the room; Lucy and Renee were waiting with the others to make

their appearance on stage.

Lucy was sitting in a chair next to Kevin Sorbo, catching up on old times. Renee walked over to join them.

Kevin smiled, “Hey Renee, How is married life treating you?”

“Great. I love it. But I can’t wait for this one to be born” she said as she rubbed her belly. “Now that the show is over I can devote all my time to my hubby and the baby.”

Just then Kevin Smith walked into the room. “G’day mates” (I love his accent hehehe). He said with he brilliant grin. “They’re ready for us.”

Gabrielle and Xena remained still in the closet listening to the conversation.

“Xena, they look just like us. Even Joxer and Hercules. This is unreal. They must be our descendants.”

“I'm guessing you’re right.”

Xena watched as the room cleared. Then she and Gabrielle walked out of the closet.

“Was that Ares?”

“No I don’t think so. I would have been able to tell if he was here.”

“Xena we have been out of it for that last few thousand years. Your senses could be out of whack.”

“Hey we were sleeping for 25 years and I could still tell if he was around.”

“Yeah I bet..” she stopped in mid sentence as they heard someone coming to the door. They both bolted for the closet again. Xena peeked out to see Lucy and Renee.

“Just a minute Lucy, I forgot my bag.”

Renee walked over to the closet and opened the door. Her mouth dropped open.

“Ummmm Lucy? You might want to come here for a sec.”

Lucy ran over to Renee,

“What’s u.. Oh my god.”

Before they could react Kevin Sorbo came back in. He had been looking for the two actresses.

He walked over to where they were standing, “Hey what’s the hold up?” he asked, then he saw what it was that was keeping them. Still standing in the closet was Xena & Gabby. He could believe his eyes. It had been centuries since he had seen them.

“Xena?”

“Hercules?“ He nodded

Gabrielle covered her mouth, gasping she hugged her friend “Hercules it’s so good to see you again.”

Lucy and Renee could do nothing but stare. These women who were supposedly their characters had just called their friend Hercules. Lucy stepped out, waving her hands saying repeatly, “This is not happening. This is not happening.”

When the hugging session was over, Hercules asked how they got here. They went to the couch, sat down, and repeated everything that was told to them. Before Hercules could respond, a blue light filled the room. It was so bright, that everyone had to cover their eyes to prevent being blinded.

When the light disappeared, the group looked up to see Ares standing in the middle of room with Arianna at his side.

“That is Ares” said Xena , “Now what is he doing here.”

‘What is this all about Ares?” asked Hercules angrily

“Awwwwwww little brother, aren't you happy to see me?”

The two brothers glared at each other. Arianna could see that they would start fighting soon, so she stepped in the middle of them and started to explain

“Well we needed a hero for this time, No offense Herc, but we need more then just you. Ares just wanted his girlfriend back.” she concluded pointing to Gabrielle.

Gabrielle blushed furiously as Ares wrapped he arm around her. Xena quickly stepped in between them. Holding her sword at Ares she pulled Gabrielle behind her, Gabrielle stopped her.

“It’s ok Xena. Ares and I are together. We have been for a while. I’m sorry I should have told you sooner.”

Xena slumped down and the couch, “I can’t believe that. You had better take care of her.”

“Don't worry I will.”

Renee jumped in, “Whoa Whoa Whoa. Now let me get this straight. This Xena and Gabby are clones of the real things? He is really the God of War? And Kevin is really Hercules?”

They all nodded; she sat down beside Xena, shaking her head in disbelief. Arianna told Ares that Xena and Gabrielle need to be taken somewhere so they would have the chance to adapt, Lucy and Renee would have to have their memory erased, It would do any good to have them remember the duo, no one would believe them. Ares nodded, kissing Gabby he transported her and Xena to Olympus. He then turned to Arianna

“You will be joining them.”

“I’m going to Olympus?”

“No your memory will be erased just like theirs. It will be better for you. No more dream or nightmares, no memory of what happen those months ago. It is the lease I can do for you, after bring my love back and all.”

She shrugged, “Great, the only time I kicked the God of War’s butt, and I won’t even remember it.” They others looked at her in confusion, “Never mind it was another life. Let’s do this, I want a normal life back.”

Ares nodded, waving his hand, he vanished. After the light had cleared, Arianna looked around.

“How did I get here? Last thing I remember was getting ready to leave my house.”

Kevin chuckled, “You know professor you work yourself too hard.”

“You’re probably right, come on. The others are probably wondering what happened to us, The group left the room to encounter hundreds of screaming fans.
