| I love photography, in case you haven't already guessed. It is my passion. It is where the Muses are the kindest. They let me do as I will, and don't nag as much, but they're always there when I need them for an assignment or something. They're like good friends. Now, don't think I'm absolutely insane for typing of my Muses as if they were real people or something. No, no. I'm not. It's an "artist thing." Ask one, they'll tell you that they have Muses too. Writers also! Anyway, to the photos you'll find here... They are all my fine art photos. I printed each and every one of the black and white ones myself in the photo lab at Blake High School. I even processed the film myself in a little tank the size of an oatmeal can. I'm very proud of myself for that. <g> Although, pretty soon I'm going to have to have a service do that for me because the Freshmen and Liberal Arts students are idiots and keep contaminating the chemicals and the film dryer. The last two rolls I've done have been completely unusable because of chemical stains and dust, the photographer's two worst enemies. Anyway, enough of that... I work almost exclusively in Black and White because I don't trust the color photo chemicals. They just don't seem like a good idea if I ever want to have children, which I do, so... no color for me unless it's done by Walgreens' One-hour Photo. :-) I have done a few sets of color pieces. One you will find on "Photo Page 3." The other was in the style of David Hockney. I did that one for two reasons. One, I had no other idea and I was tired of the film room screwing up my negatives. Two, all the other Jews in the class were emulating him, so I felt I should too. (You see, Hockney's Jewish, so are Matt and Jesse. They did him, it started a running joke in the class that all the Jews had to emulate him, and I played along... It would have actually worked as a running joke if the other Jewish girl in the class had done it too, but she didn't feel like it, so... oh well, we tried.) Anyway, those pieces are very, very large (like 2' by 3') so I can't really scan them for y'all. You'll have to make due with these... |
| Please do e-mail me and tell me what you think. I would very much like to know. [email protected] FYI - All Photographs on "Photo Page 1", "Photo Page 2" and "Photo Page 3" are copyrighted by me. Do not use them without permission or you will be guilty of copyright violations and possibly plagerism. As I've said, I'm Jewish... I know a lot of lawyers and have several in my extended family alone... Don't think I won't bother to come after you. I will! So save yourselves the trouble. |
