The image links below were captured and converted to 3-D using EarthViewer. EarthViewer is a multi-faceted program, where one can zoom from street level, way out to space in one seamless zooming action. The database features terra bytes of Earth 3-D model data. The user friendly interface makes it easy to access this data,via an Internet connection. Elevation, roads, boundaries, house addresses, and a multitude of businesses can be over imposed over the Earth views.
The image links have a watermark on them due to the EarthViewer I evaluated for 14 days being a demo. Nonetheless, it demonstrates that EarthViewer is certainly capable of stereo. EarthViewer uses OpenGL and I think there is a possibility that with the appropriate LCS software and graphics card, it can be viewed directly in stereo.
With full screen LCS stereo, I think I would have been in heaven,...I mean Earth! ;-) The original images are 2-D and can be displayed at full resolution on a monitor. The stereo pairs below were decreased in size to conserve bandwidth.
