A very dear friend of mine related this tale of his time spent in Viet Nam during his term of service there. I thought it was an awesome story and in his words "awe inspiring".
We were doing perimeter duty at a Firebase,,,,when at Midnight,,,with a full moon shining off the water in the paddies and a nice breeze blowing and it was absolutely silent and peaceful,,,really contrary to the mess around us
when out of the silence came a small voice,,,singing silent night....it started softly,,,then all of us started to sing along,,,it was awe inspiring.
