PROFESSIONAL, SCIENTIFIC & DIDACTIC ACTIVITY
I began my activity in Nondestructive Testing Domain in Energetic Equipment Works, in April 1969.
Since 1981 I am Authorized Inspector 3-rd level in Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Radiographic Testing (RT), and Magnetic Particle Testing (MT).
During my activity in NDT domain I have performed hands on all kind of Nondestructive Tests.
I have an inventor patent for X- ray testing of PEId spheres (used in Nuclear Power Plants).
In 1999 I was invited to join the International Atomic Energy Agency as expert in Nondestructive Testing of pressure tubes for nuclear fuel.
In February 1997 I sustained my Doctor Thesis entitled "Improving efficiency of Weld Testing using Ultrasound NDT".
In the last 21 years I was professionally involved in scientific research activity. I published the results of my researches in 48 scientific papers.
25 of these papers were published in the last 5 years.
I published a book entitled “Ultrasonic Testing of Welds”- (in Romanian).
As Professor, I taught courses in the following domains:
- Ultrasonic testing;
- X ray and Gamma testing;
- Defects and materials;
- Standards and Settlements in NDT.
Today I’m working at Alstom Switzerland, in the position of Senior Consultant.
In the previous year I worked at Alstom Inspection Robotics, where I have developesd different robots for NDT.
