Because you can't possibly be a true HP fangirl without a fic recs page...
Recently I've discovered the wonder that is Harry Potter fanfiction online, and I felt the need to share some of my favorite stories with you.  If you're a little weirded out by the whole thing, read a story, anyway.  I promise you'll like it (it's kinda like crack for your brain, seriously).  I read a lot of slash fiction (read: boy characters getting it on with other boy characters) and yeah, a lot of it is most definitely not appropriate for small children.

The best of what I've read, so far, and in no particular order:

Anna's stories are the only non-slash ones that make my list.  Start with Roman Holiday, and read all of the sequels.  Features Hermione as the main character, with fabulous plot twists, creative new characters, and a romance that will make your head spin.

Icarus writes some of the best slash out there, period.  Read the Harry/Snape fic, Primer to the Dark Arts, first and then everything else you can get your hands on, including the Draco/Ron series beginning with Beg Me For It.

I absolutely adore
Telanu's Tea series.  More Harry/Snape, and Snape loves Harry, and really hates himself for it.

Ladyvader writes lovely Harry/Draco, and my favorite is definitely Friend Like Me, because it's so bloody angsty and sad and good.

Sort of the classic Harry/Snape: Cybele's If You Are Prepared.  And yes, prepare to get all sniffly and stuff.

I loved the Draco so much in
Illuferret's The Tale of the Shining Prince (and its sequels) that I personally wanted to jump through the screen and take him home with me.  So, so, so well written.  Just, wow.

The Mirror of Maybe is a totally, totally different take on Harry Potter fanfiction, because it's Harry Potter, but not really.  He's all grown up and yet everyone else is still the same... quite random, but absolutely wonderful.

Harry becomes a kitty cat and falls in love with Snape in
A Bittersweet Potion and all of its sequels.  It just makes you wanna go "awww" and stuff.  Yeah, okay, maybe that's just me.

Go read
Tissue of Silver, a wonderful, wonderful Harry/Draco by Fearlessdiva.  There are sequels, too, which makes it even better ;).

Oh, how I love whiney!Draco... and Cherryflavour satisfies my needs with
Queer and There.  Pure, unadulterated fluff awaits the reader, and what witty, snuggly fluff it is... H/D, o'course, and a WIP.
Go back to the beginning, or read fun facts about me, look at random pictures of my family, listen to me go on and on about my favorite people, and of course there's always my livejournal to keep things interesting.
I absolutely fell head over heels in love with Cinnamon's Draco/Ron fic, Unbecoming.  I promise you'll be on the edge of your seat waiting to see how this one turns out, and Mrs. Weasley's appearance in the epilogue is one of the funniest things I've ever read.  Her other fics are worth checking out as well, but I must warn you, some of them are pretty far off the beaten path.

I haven't loved a fic as much as I've loved this one since... well, a while.  I need you to stop whatever (or whoever, as the case may be) you're doing and read
Aja's Love Under Will.  It's Harry/Draco, and God, the intensity in which these two characters love one another, and the hate, and the smouldering looks... *dies*.  If only it wasn't "to be continued..."

Y'know I'm a sucker for good H/D... well, I've found another to make my list :).  Let me introduce you to
Ragnarok Skurai, and her fantastic story, Metamorous.  All I can say is that it's warm and fuzzy without being cheesy at all... and the one liners!  Oh how I love this author's sense of humour.  Read the rest of her stuff, too.

I love, love, love
Maya's Underwater Light.  Mostly for Draco, who's so perfectly in tune with my imaginings of him (dramatic!  witty!  obnoxious!) and for Harry, who seriously waited like millions of chapters before falling head-over-heels.  It's TBC... so you can read her other stories while waiting for the next chapter, because they're all amazing.  She made me care about Pansy, for crying out loud.

I didn't think it was possible to die of laughter and get all hot and bothered at the same time... that is, until I read Allegra's fabulous H/D tale,
All Bets Are Off.  Just don't take it too seriously, or you might give yourself an aneurism.

Frances Potter's H/D saga, Resolution, is more than just a love story.  It makes you think, it makes you feel and, ultimately, question who these characters really are.  (WIP)

I was jumping up and down and clapping whilst reading Aidan Lynch's
Unthinkable Thoughts.  Hermione and the "Boys' Book of Spells, Special Edition" make this H/D novel a winner.  Plus it's all sappy & cute.

Need more?  Of course you do.

I'm working on a new page.  It's going to be a little bit different, and don't worry, I'll keep this page for posterity and future references.  But starting in 2005, this page is getting a bit of a facelift.
