| Chapter 19 Gabben lay on the snow covered ground passed out. He had changed back to a human an hour or so ago. The snow around him was not white but red from blood. His beautiful clothes from the party turned to rags. These pictures ran threw Ashleys mind as she looked out the window. Ash? Krel walked up behind her giving her a hug. Alyssa put a hand on Ashleys shoulder. Krel and Alyssa knew something was upsetting Ashley, but they didnt know what it was. Ashley? Whats wrong? Alyssa asked making her sit down and handing her a tissue. Ashley had now started crying. Ashley, Krel, and Alyssa had moved up to there bed room. The guests from the party had long left for home. But most of them were at the church praying. Hes still out there Hes is pain, dying we have to save him! Ashley jumped up. She felt horrible for sitting there doing nothing. She had to help him! We cant Ash. Said Krel in a small voice. Father Peter locked the gates to the forest. No one can get in or out. Alyssa said. They hated to tell her this but there was nothing they could do. No matter how much they wanted to. No! We have to! Ashley started to run to the door still crying. Krel jumped up and grabbed her. Theirs nothing we can do! Krel said pulling Ashley back. Ashley gave up letting her tears take over. Alyssa went to go make a cup of tea and get ready for a long night. Back in the forest Gabben started to wake up. He spat out some blood and rubbed his jaw. He felt a sharp pain in his side and growled lowly. He looked over himself to she what was hurt. Seeing nothing that bad he slowly got up. He looked down at the snow that was once white was now red. Gabben looked around to see where he was. He was at the edge of the forest, but how did he Dagonet! Dagonet, or more commonly known as Dag was and old friend to Gabben. He had dark brown hair pale blue eyes, he was a little taller then Gabben, but he was very thin and gangly. He had always been very pale from being locked up and from the changes. Shortly after Gabbens parents died Dag was bitten by a werewolf. Dags parents could not stand to have a werewolf son so they kicked Dag out. Dag was only four when he was bitten. Only Gabben and Father Peter knew What Dag is. The nights Gabben would stay at the church he would hear crying. One night he went to see who was crying and found Dag. Dag was a kind, shy kid growing up and he was turning into a shy adult. Father Peter had kept Dag locked up sense he was bitten. Gabben would beg for him to let Dag out when it wasnt a full moon. But Father Peter wouldnt let him out. Gabben would sneak down to Dags room during summer holidays to talk and play with him. He would even go during full moons but as a lion to keep Dag company. Gabben turned around fast hearing a small groan of pain. It was Dag now a human. The clouds had covered the moon and the sun was starting to come up. Dag was lying in a pile of red snow as well. A few cuts were down his back and he looked to have a broken arm. Dag was not as built or in shape as Gabben was, and the moon had made him much weaker after a change. Gabben pulled his cloak off and put it around Dag. (Seeing as Dag had not that much on.) Gabben? What what happened? Dag asked starting to wake up. How did I get out here? I didnt hurt anyone did I? Another about Dag was he hated to cause pain. He was a very loving person. No, I got everyone away before you could get to them. How did you get out Dag? Gabben asked putting Dag up next to a rock to sit him up. Father Peter left the door open when he fed me. I was already starting to change so I put a rock in the way to keep the door open. I wanted to kill Dag looked up at Gabben was sorry eyes. Gabben gave him a sad smile as he looked down. Its ok Dag lets get you out of here Gabben walked in to the reading room holding his side. A little blood was starting to stain his shirt. He shut the door slowly and walked into the room to see. Wait a minute here! Gabben rubbed his eyes in shock. Gabbie was kissing a guy. And not any guy but his best mate Doug! Gabben stood there with his mouth open in shock. After what seemed like years but was really 2 seconds Gabben said. What the bloody ell is going on here! Gabbie jumped off Doug and turned to see Gabben. She saw that he was hurt and ran over to him. Gabben what happened? Ahhhh I should have known you would have gone to be the hero. Well come sit lay down before you hurt yourself more! Gabbie walked Gabben over to the couch by the fire and made him lie down. Doug walked over and sat in the chair next to him with his face all red. Im fine Gabbie! Lay off, lay off I said! Gabbie was looking around him to see what was making him bleed. What were you two just doing? Gabben asked still in a little shock. Oh Gabbie said turning red again. She walked over to Doug and held his hand. Gabbens mouth opened wider. Doug rubbed the back of his neck like he always did when he was nervous or in a situation he didnt want to be in. Well you see at the party we well met up and Doug was saying trying to find the right words. He had no idea how Gabben would react, and from the looks of it not to good. But to Doug and Gabbies surprise Gabben started to laugh. I was wondering when you two would get together. Gosh you took forever. Treat her good mate or I just might have to kill you. Gabben said with a smile. Gabbie ran over to Gabben and hugged him. Ow ow ow! Gabben cried out as she hugged him. Just then Father Peter walked or more ran into the room. Gabben Elijah are you ok? What happened? He said looking over Gabben and hes cuts. Im fine Father, just ran into an old friend that needed some air. Father Peters face turned from pale to paler. Its ok Father I took care of it. Father Peter nodded and called for a house elf. Take this young master to him room and get him healed up please. The elf nodded and bowed as he took Gabbens hand leading him away. But I- Gabben started but was cut off. Later Gabben Elijah your wounds need tending to. Father Peter there not that bad! Gabben growled, but Father Peter just nodded to the elf to keep him going. |
