| Andre Jones was born to two drug abusing parents, they were unable to raise him, so he was passed over to his Grandmother, his parents becoming junkies and eventually found slain in an alley, for the most part they are irrelevant in Dre's mind. Growing up in one of the toughest hoods in America, Compton, Dre was exposed to the way of the streets, hustling, dealing, pimping, robbery, and murder. While a youngster he was able to generally steer clear of danger until the day that changed his life. Only age 10, Dre was walking home from school with a friend when a violent shoot out broke out leaving Dre and friend in the crossfire, his friend was killed, Dre was shot in the shoulder but made a recovery, and that has been considered the launching point to his gang affilation. Impressed with his durability, a gang of local Bloodz took Dre in, shielding him from the correct path his Grandmother had planned for him, within no time he became very respected hiding secret powers that had occured to him along the way. At age 21, he was already considered an O.G., and had raised several to follow in his footsteps, one particular was Alan Drake, whom Dre recently re-encountered and discovered startling secrets about Alan's origins, but that's a different bio. When he was 23, he almost had his streets on lock, a monopolpy of the block, so he decided to venture eastwards to a Mutant school that would more perfect his powers in conquering his goal, but when he did take a tour, he came to see that the school was too 'goody goody' for him so he settled in an apartment deciding to build up his credibility in the 'inferior' east coast game. Along the way he learned he had a daughter, Carmen, who he now invests all his time in...when he's not hustlin'. |
