By_Laws

                                                                                           ARTICLE 1

                                                                                   Section 1 ~ Membership

a. Board Members: President ~ Vice President ~ Treasurer ~ Secretary
b. Maximum Members: To be determined each year by vote of members present at the first meeting of each year.
c. Member's immediate family (dependents under the age of 21) are allowed the full hunting season.
d. Members will be allowed "one (1) guest" to participate and hunt at one time.
e. A members guest "will not" be allowed to hunt until after the first seven (7) days of modern gun and spring turkey season.

                                                                      Section 2 ~ Membership Rules & Regulations

a. No fire arms will be "chambered" in the camp area.
b. No "illegal" drugs will be brought into camp.
c. No member or guest will be intoxicated while hunting. This will be "strictly" adhered to.
d. No member or guest will "violate" the Arkansas State or Federal Game Laws. Any illegal deer or game killed, or caught by a member or guest hunting with this club will be soley his/her responsiblilty. G & L Hunting Club will not assume, or pay a fine or any part of a fine of said person(s) found guilty of the law broken.
e. Any legal deer killed by a member, or guest while hunting with G & L Hunting Club will belong to that member or guest.
f. All members and guests will "strictly" abide by the rules and regulations set forth by the club. Anyone failing to do so will be asked to leave.

                                                                     Section 3 ~ Fees and Assessments

a. Membership fees for the year will be paid to the club Treasurer no later than May 15th of each year. There is "no" grace period! This will be "strictly" enforced or the member will be "terminated" from the club automatically.
b. If a member decides he will not join G & L Hunting club the following year after the previous hunting season is over, then, he needs to let a club officer know as soon as possible. The member will then have until May 31st to remove his stand and then, turn in his key immediately. If the key is lost or, has failed to be returned then, a fee of $20.00 will be collected from that member to replace the cost of the key. Note: If the member's stand is not removed by May 31st it then becomes club property.
c. Guests will pay $30.00 per day to hunt. A guest's payment must be paid prior to a club officer before that guest can hunt.

                                                                                  ARTICLE 2

                                                                       Section 1 ~ Voting & Meetings

a. All matters related to the operations of the club, and club membership will be decided by the members present at each meeting. The matter will be discussed among the members present and voted upon by thos only. The results will be conveyed to the club members not present as soon as possible. There will be "absolutely" no absentee ballots, or verbal vote by any member, or members family.
b. The term of each office for each club officer will be two (2) years. The club officers will be appointed by members.
c. Club officers will be "removed" from office by voting of members if found to be violating any club rules.
d. Club meetings will be held twice a year. One meeting will be in conjunction with a work day. Meetings, and work days will be set forth by the club members.

                                                                                  ARTICLE 3

                                                        Section 1 ~ Deer Stands and Stand Placement

a. Once a member has left the club and fails to remove his stand, it then becomes club property and will be open for an existing member or, a new member to gain. This will be done by a drawing which will be held at one of the scheduled meetings. All members interested must be present at the meeting to participate in the stand drawing.
b. Members will be required to have a minimum of one (1), maximum of two (2) deer stand on the property of the G & L Hunting Club. One, or both will be permanent or fixed (concreted metal or, wood, fixed or, leaning).
c. Permanent, or fixed stands "will not" be closer than 500 yards within another stand unless approved by that member who owns that permanent stand.
d. Portable stands (physically carried and moved) will not be placed within 500 yards of a permanent or fixed stand. To place a portable stand in the area of one, "permission" must be given by the member who owns it.
e. Absolutely "no trespassing, or intruding" of a member, or guest upon another person hunting in a permanent, fixed or portable stand will be "tolerated."
f. "NO" member of the G & L Hunting Club will be allowed to hunt on another member's stand, or area from the beginning of muzzle loader season until "after" the first seven (7) days of modern gun.
g. Members, or guests will be allowed to hunt from another members permanent stand or, stand vacinity "after" the first seven days of modern gun, providing that the member is not hunting his/her stand. "Curtesy and honor" will be used to leave the stand in the same condition as it was found, ie; trash, smoking materials, sunflower seed shells, cans of any sort, food and gum wrappers, etc.
h. Members with a guest will be responsible for their guest having a stand to hunt in. Either by using one of the members permanent stands, or if the guest will be using another member's stand, then permission has to be obtained from that member. "Failure" to make your guest aware of this prior to hunting will result in actions voted on by the club members.
i. All members will construct one permanent deer stand. If you are unable to construct one please notify the club president, or another member and you will be directed and assisted on how to build one. "All" stands will be in good condition.

                                                                                          ARTICLE 4

                                                                                       Section 1 ~ Dogs

a. "NO" member, or guest will be allowed to "run" dogs on the G & L Hunting Club property at any given time. This will be striclty adhered to!
b. A club member may have "one" dog to "track" wounded dear only and it must be on a leash..

                                                                                          ARTICLE 5

                                                                                      Section 1 ~ Safety

a. Upon departing from camp whether is is on foot or riding an atv, please don your hunters orange hat and vest unless you are in a vehicle and leaving the camp for other reasons than hunting.
b. "Before" shooting a moving target make sure it is a deer and "NOT" another hunter.
c. Children will not be "permitted" to ride atv's in, or around areas where there are hunters present. Children will not be allowed off major roads unless accompanied by a responsible adult.
d. "ALWAYS" think and use safety. Someone else's life may depend on you!
