Paymemt in full is expected prior to shipment of any cat/kitten.  A personal check is acceptable.

 

As the breeder shows CFA exclusively, only CFA registration papers will be provided.  However, PENOBSCOT is registered with CFF.  The breeder will complete any papers supplied to them by the buyer to facillitate registration in another associations.

 

The above listed cat/kitten will be FeLV (Leukemia) negitive tested prior to shipment and will have a current health certificate.  The cat/kitten will have current FVRC-P inoculations.  Rabies inoculations will  be given when required by state of residence of the buyer.  All documentation will be included at time of shipment.

 

It is prefered that all cat/kittens be shipped in a #100 Vari Kennel carrier.  Kennel Cabs of any size are unsuitable.  The buyer may send his own Vari Kennel via UPS in advance of shipment or may pay for a new one along with payment for the cat/kitten(@ $30.00 additional).  [Airlines are currently charging $40-$45]  We prefer to have the Kennel in advance to enable us to settle the cat/kitten in the kennel  prior to the 60 minuet drive to Dayton airport.  [Columbus and Cincinnati are 90 minuets and will be an alternative if direct flights are avaliable]

 

The cat/kittenwill be shipped freight collect by the most direct airline scheduled from Dayton ,Ohio [Columbus or Cincinnati is an alternative if there is a direct flight]  on a flight agreed upon by both parties.  The cat/kitten will have a declared vlaue equal to the purchase price to insure proper handling by the airlines.  Cost of this excess value declaration is approximately 40 cents per $100 declared vlaue and will be added onto the freight charges.

 

The health /rabies certificates will be attached to the top of the kennel in a clear vinyl pocket.  An information package will be included at the time of shipment and placed in a clear plastic packet taped to the inside back of the Kennel.  This package will include: copy of FeLV Negative test report, computer generated pedigree, record of vaccination dates, and copy of PENOBSCOT feeding and maintenance suggestions.  CFA registration papers will be mailed priority mail.

 

The buyer agrees to call the breeder immidiately upon reciept of the cat  from the airlines.  The breeder should be told at this time if the buyer questions the health of the cat, the quality of the cat as represented, or the manner in which the airlines delivered the cat.

 

The cat may be returned to the breeder within 10 days if the buyer is not satisfied for any reason.  If the cat/kitten is assessed to be of lesser quality than represented, the buyer is expected to state so upon receipt and has 24 hours to notify the breeder of plans for the return.  The buyer will pay shipping costs both ways on any cat/kitten returned.  Full refund of purchase price will be made to the buyer upon return of the cat/kitten.

 

It is expected that the buyer know his own mind and not expose the cat/kitten to additional stress and/or germs by taking the animal to various local breeders and/or catteries for opinions prior to arranging any return.

 

The breeder guarantees the health of each cat/kitten against infectious and/or contagious diseases for 10 days after shipment. It is suggested that the buyer have each new cat/kitten checked by his veterinarian as soon upon arrival as possible.  As a matter of course, it is suggested that any new cat/kitten be kept isolated for at least 14 days.

 

The breeder will not accept return of any animal after the 10 days named above.

 

The breeder cannot guarantee the show  success or the breeding success of any animal.

 

The buyer agrees to show any grand quality cat in good condition and with reasonable frequency; in a good faith attempt to secure the cat's grand championship.

 

The buyer agrees that a male cat will not be offered at "open stud" to the cat fancy in general.  Stud service provided to close personal friends is not considered "open stud service"  and is exempt from this restriction.

 

The breeder reserves the right to first refusal to repurchase this cat at the original sale  price if the buyer, for any reason, decides to sell.

 

Any special notes or considerations pertaining to the cat/kitten are to be noted below.
