The Hulk
Overview: Dr. Bruce Banner is exposed to Gamma Radaition in a
lab accident. The radiation should have killed him. But
it altered his DNA turning him into the Hulk when he gets angry. Now
the army and his father are after him, looking for his
power.
My Rating: Pretty good. The hulk is a little too Hulkish. I guess
being someone who saw the TV show before the comic,
it was a little hard to adjust to the size of the big guy.
More Detail: David Banner is a scientist on an army base. He is
working on a way to manipulate mans geneitic makeup to
allow then to heal quicker in war. He is ready to test on humans but
is denied by the army who wants him to stop. He injects
himself. He and his wife have a baby, Bruce. David realizes that he
has based on his genetic condition to David and is now
trying to find a cure.
Sergent Ross finds out that David banner tested on himself and
confronts him in the lab. He kicks David out. David sets
up the reactor to blowup. He heads home and has an argument with his
wife that Bruce hears. David tries to kill his son,
you see this later in the movie, but Bruce's Mom gets in the way of
the knife. David is taken away in a straight jacket and
Bruce goes to a foster home.
Bruce is now an adult working on the same thing his father was,
although he does not know it. 30 years have past since
Bruce's mom was killed. He was also told his father was dead. While
working with radiation in the lab, an accident causes a
leak. Bruce is ok, which surprises everyone, including his partner,
Betsy Ross, daughter of Sergent Ross.
Bruce is confronted by an old man, who turns out to be his dad. His
father was locked up by Ross for 30 years. The accident
combined with the genetic testing his father passed on to him,
released the hulk.
The Hulk is released when bruce gets angry. Everyone from his Dad to
the Army no want him. The Army wants him dead
so they can sample his tissue, his dad wants his power, and can get
it by killing his son and absorbing it.
