Dumb and Dumberer 2: When Harry Met Lloyd
Overview: This prequel to the Jim Carrey Dumb and Dumber movie takes
place with Lloyd and Harry in High School.
The boys are put into a special ed class as part of a scheme by the
Principal and Lunch Lady to get grant money and go
away. Can Harry and Lloyd stop them? Do they even know it's a scam?
My Rating: Not bad. The movie had some funny parts and some annoying
parts. In a fantasy, Jessica, The High School
Newspaper girl and Harry's mom fight over Lloyd. In Lloyd's fantasy
the girls think he is a genius like Albert Frankenstien.
More Detail: The movie opens up with the birth of Harry. Harry was a
shy lad and did not want to exit his mother. When
the doctor reached in to get him, he bit the doctor. Harry was home
schooled most his life till his mom decided to send him
to high school.
Lloyd's dad is the janitor of the school, he gets Lloyd ready and
Lloyd walks out of school, rushing to get to the bus to get
to school. He and Harry collide and become friends. Lloyd tells Harry
he is one of the cool kids. Lloyd is then put in a
trash barrel and rolled down a hill. They have one more treatment for
Lloyd who asks if they can include Harry in the
special club. The guys give them wedgies and hang them on the flag pole.
The Principal, played by Eugene Levy, and the lunch lady, played by
SNL's Cheri Oteri, hatch a scheme to get grant money
for a special eds class, if only the had special students. Enter
Harry and Lloyd. Harry and Lloyd sign up other kids for the
class, none of them special, but them seem to be thanks to a football
players concussion, a skateboarders broken bones, a
girl that doesn't speak English, and a couple kids that just don't
want to do homework.
Jessica is a beautiful girl who writes for the school paper. She is
always looking for a big story and thinks she has one with
the special ed class. She invites Harry over to her house. Harry
brings her a chocolate bar that he let in his pocket. After
sitting on the heater thinking Jessica was making him hot, he goes
into the bathroom and gets melted chocolate everywhere,
which Jessica Dad thinks is poo.
Jessica gets Lloyd to let her into the Principals office with his
Dad's keys. Similar to the first movie, the boys let a woman
come between them. They patch things over.
The Special Ed class has made a float for the Thanksgiving Day
parade. This is the day that the Principal is expecting his
check. Lloyd found a chest in the Principals office after Jessica
left and he kept it thinking it was the pirate chest Harry was
looking for. When they open it, some of the other students realize
that the principal is embezzling money.
They use the float to prove the principal's guilt
The movie ends with two hot twins driving up in a car and inviting
Harry and Lloyd to an all girl school. The boys both
decide they want the girl on the left. Not wanting to let a woman get
between them again, they say no thanks.
Finding Nemo
Overview: Nemo is a clown fish being raised by his dad, Merlin.
Merlin is very protective of Nemo, he has a short fin on
his right side and is not a good swimmer. At his first day of school,
Nemo becomes upset with his fathers over protective
ness and swims out to boat. He is captured by a diver and now Merlin
has to face his own fears to try and find his son.
My Rating: Another great movie from Disney's Pixar Studios. Dory,
played by Ellen Degeneress, provides the comic relief
as a fish with short term memory loss. Beware the beginning of the
film is a little scary and sad.
More Detail: Merlin and his wife are waiting for the birth of their
first children, about 400 eggs. They are swimming around
in their home when they spot a large fish. Merlin tries to get his
wife back into the house but she dies trying to protect the
eggs. Merlin, who was knocked out, awakes to find only one egg left,
little Nemo.
Nemo goes on a class trip and his father follows him when he heres
the class is going out towards the open sea. To prove to
his father he is a good swimmer, he swims out to a boat. Just them a
diver pops up and puts Nemo in a bag.
Merlin is now off to face his own fears to try and find his son.
Along the way he meets Dory who says she saw and boat and
tells Merlin to follow her. As they are swimming Dory looks back and
tries to get away from Merlin. she confronts
him and asks why is he following her. Merlin tells Dory that she told
him to follow her looking for a boat. Merlin finds
out that Dory suffers from Short Term Memory loss.
In the meantime, Nemo finds him self in a fish tank located at a
dentist office. The dentist is the one who caught Nemo. He
plans on giving Nemo to his niece for her birthday. The other fish in
the tank tell Nemo she is a fish killer. The fish in the
tank come up with a plan to escape. Taking advantage of Nemos size he
swims into the filter and lodges a stone into the fan.
The tank will get dirty and the doctor will be forced to take the
fish out, but them in bags and clean the tank. The fish can then
roll out the window, across the street and into the harbor. Nemo does
this but as he is swimming back down the tube, the
pebble gives way and he is almost sucked down into the fan.
Out at sea, Dory and Merlin have had encounters with vegetarian
sharks, jelly fish and turtles. Thanks to Dory being able to
read English they know nemo was taken to Sydney, on of the divers
lost his mask. Word gets out about Merlin coming
to find his son and all the battles he has faced along the way. As
each animal tells the story to the next it gets blown
out of proportion. A seagull who is friends with the fish at the
doctors office. Hears the story and tells Nemo his dad is
on the way. Nemo swims backup the filter and this time the stone stays.
The tank gets dirty and the fish think they have it made but the
doctor installed a new filter over night. He takes Nemo out
of the tank as his niece arrives. Merlin and Dory arrive to the
dentist office with the help of the Seagull. Nemo is in the bag
and the dentist niece starts to shake the bag. one of the other fish
gets out of the tank and lands on the girl and she flips
out. The bag breaks and Nemo gets out down the dentists rinse drain.
He finally reunites in the ocean with his dad and Dory.
The Ultimate Ric Flair Collection
Overview: Ric Flair has been in professional wrestling for over three
decades. He is a 16 time world champion. His name
brings the word excellence to fans minds. This best selling 3 DVD set
captures some of Flair's greatest moments.
My Rating: Out of ten stars I would give this eleven. A must for any wrestling fan.
More Details: Ric Flair is pro wrestling. I am a huge fan of wrestling and Ric Flairs.
Flair walks the walk and talks the talk. He coined the phrase,
"to be the man, you've got to beat the man." And he was the
man.
Back in the hay day of wrestling, Ric Flair was the top performer.
Several nights a week he would wrestle Ricky Steamboat,
Barry Windham, and Dusty Rhodes to name a few. On several of those
nights he would go 60 minutes. Todays matches
go 20 to 30 mins, back then the guys did what it said on the marquee, wrestle.
What makes Flair great is not only can he wrestle, but he is great on
the mike. Some of his interviews will go down in
history. In the eighties he was the leader of the greatest group in
pro wrestling, The Four Horsemen. The Horsemen
was a life style. High Flying, Limousine riding, Kiss stealing son of
a guns. Flair was also known for taking the ladies to
Space Mountain, and I'm not talking to Florida.
These DVDs cover the early days to Flairs broken back from a plane
accident, His first world title, the horseman days and
his stint in the WWE today as part of Evolution, Flair, Triple H,
Randy Orton and Batista.
The personal highlight on this DVD for me is a Special Night in
Greensville. The Nature Boy's home is North Carolina. As
the signs say, North Carolina is Flair Country. Flair was given a
title shot against his protege Triple H. Triple H wanted
Flair to lie down, But Flair fought him and eventual lost in a good
match. After the cameras stopped rolling, all the WWE
stars came out of character to celebrate for Ric Flair. They raised
him up on their shoulders, draped the belt over his
shoulder, drank some beer and shook his hand. Everyone from owner
Vince Mcmahon to Stone Cold Steve Austin came
to the ring to pay homage to a legend. Flair was touched and
surprised by what happened and you could see it in his eyes
and hear it in his voice when the fans asked for a speech.
At 54 years old Flair is still at it today. He has lost a step but
this DVD will remind you of how great he was and also show
you how much this sport has changed.
