November Rants

Note: Something has changed in my life. Today is Sunday October 24, 2004. With the Boston Red Sox World Series
game 2 on in the back ground, I am just starting the update for this month. Seven days before it should be posted.

I don't know exactly what it is but I don't have the time I use to. It's not like I have a girlfriend, actually I guess you could say
I have several, not to sound like a gigolo. (A quick shout out to all my girls, you know who you are, I hope you do :) ).

So this should be interesting, lets see what kind of magic I can pull out of my butt in less then a week to make a decent
update. BTW, the Red Sox's just retired the Card's in the first, no score.

Well my pionidal cyst came back. What a pain in the ass.

I noticed all the gory details in September, draining and bleeding.

So I went back to the doctor and they planned on doing a local procedure to just drain and clean it. I guess it is real small,
the cyst that is.

I was trying to think of a positive angle to put on this for my girls. I mean telling someone your going to have surgery in
that area, right below the tail bone, in the crack of your butt, isn't very glamorous.

I decided that Penis Reduction might be a good choice. Last chance to ride Space Mountain while it is fully loaded
and operational. Plus I can now use the excuse, I know it's small but the doctor sneezed and took off too much.

So on October 1 I went to the hospital for minor surgery.

I went out with some friends Thursday before the surgery. My appointment wasn't until 11:15 so I went out had some
drinks and figured I could sleep in.

The phone rang at 7:00 am Friday Morning. It's the hospital, can you come in at 8:00? Sure why not.

The procedure went real well. It was all done under a local. One funny part was the doctor showing the nurse something in
the cyst, I'm guessing all the hair and she says Wow. I'm thinking to myself, does a patient want to hear this? Wow?

Anyway, after he finished he tells me no showering for two days. He also tells me after Monday I can start to remove the
inside gauze.

That is where the fun began. Note, this is a little graphic. The gauze on the inside was thin, like a 1/4 inch wide. So I try to
take it out and it hurts like a mother. It took three baths over two days to get it all out of there.

Now I have to have to pack the open wound with gauze. This takes another person. That person holds the gauze over the
wound and pushes it in with the back end of a spoon. Fun Fun Fun.

On Oct 8 I made my return to Nellos, first trip since my surgery.

Meg greeted me with a "we missed you last week". That made me feel pretty good.

The others greeted me with a "what you couldn't have someone drop the chocolate off for us last week?".

Just kidding, it was great to see everyone.

The next night, Saturday, was jammed back at Nellos. Obviously word of my return has spread through the community
and everyone wanted to see me. Ok maybe that is not true, but the joint was hopping.

As I mentioned last month we have some new blood at Nellos. The last weekend in September I went to Nellos with my
Mom and Sister. I made the reservations on Friday and after I found out Jen was going to be out I asked to be put with
the new girl, Meg, so we could torture her.

I originally chose Jen because I think I've only sat with her once and she kind of has seniority. I didn't want to cause
any trouble that would result in Meg and Jen having a sleepover and breaking out into a pillow fight over me. Well at
least without me being there.

We had to talk Cindy off the roof, she was so depressed I wasn't at the bar, yeah right.

Meg did a good job. A few slip-ups but nothing was broken and all was good. The important thing for me is I hope she
had fun. I don't think we come off as bad customers. I think they all know that we are pretty passive and never in a rush.
This can be a bad thing, but as long as the drinks keep coming, I'm pretty happy.

After dinner, my Mom and I went up the bar, it was so busy, two other people there. We just ordered a drink when this
loud noise blared. It was the fire alarm. So we got to go outside for a few while the Fire Department cleared everything
up. The alarm was pulled in one of the adjoining buildings.

It was fun after that. I hung around and watched the baseball game. Meg finished up work and sat with us to watch the
game, which for the record I enjoyed. When these girls are working hard you don't have much time to talk to them. I
enjoy getting to know them outside the customer / waitress roles. We talked for a bit. I found out she was going to college,
Psychology major I believe, which would explain why she analyzed one of my jokes.

What do you think about sex in the 90's, I think it is too hot.

I was thinking the other day, the words, "If you know what I mean" can change any conversation.

I was at Nellos and had to bring my mom home, but I was going to come back. So I told Cindy I would be back in a
few minutes for dessert, if you know what I mean.

Then I started thinking things like, I'll take the Veal Parm, If you know what I mean or even, Fill her up with Regular Unleaded
if you know what I mean are just so damn funny.

Try it some time. Like right now, I'll be in the bedroom updating my web page, If you know what I mean.
