A Russian man has been told he will have a bent penis for the rest of his life after trapping it in a padlock.

Firemen in Moscow spent an hour freeing the 20-year-old man after he called emergency services after a sex game
went wrong.

A doctor at Moscow's Hospital No.50, where the man was treated, told local daily Moskovsky Komsomolets: "His penis
will be bent to one side but it will still function."

Firemen used cold water and grease to try to release the padlock before finally cutting it free with a saw.

Singapore may decriminalize oral sex between men and women, a government minister said on Tuesday, but homosexual
oral sex looks set to stay illegal.

The move follows a highly publicized case of a 27-year-old policeman jailed for two years in November for receiving
consensual oral sex from a 15-year-old girl.

That case provoked rare public criticism of Singapore's government. Protests over the law filled newspaper forum pages
and buzzed in Internet chat rooms.

In an earlier case detailed in the Straits Times a wife tried to punish her unfaithful husband by performing oral sex on him
and then reporting him to the police.

In parliament Junior Home Affairs Minister Ho Peng Kee said the law could be revised in two to three months.

"One option being considered is to decriminalize consensual oral sex between a male and female so long as it is done in
private and both of them are above 16 years of age," Ho said.

Critics have pointed out the irony of the law in a country where prostitution remains legal. Ho said the law was mostly used
to prosecute cases involving minors, or mentally and physically handicapped people.

Singapore is relaxing other laws such as rules on bungee-jumping, bar-top dancing and chewing gum in a bid to shake off
its stuffy image and lure foreign professionals.

A Norwegian man pulled his trousers down in a sex shop and said he wanted to try on some condoms.

The man, from Haugesund, had picked two kinds of condoms and as he stood by the counter wondering which would fit
him the best, he decided to try them on.

But staff in the sex shop said he was so polite that they decided against reporting him for indecent exposure.

Police spokesman Trond Friberg told Haugesunds Avis: "Maybe it was a bet or a stag night stunt. Anyway it is not pleasant
for those experiencing it."

A Tasmanian man has been encouraged to apply for work as a female prostitute under a job programme from the Australian
government.

The man, who had registered with the Job Network programme, was matched with a job entitled "ladies of all ages".

According to the job description, the ladies were needed for a busy city escort service and the advert included a mobile
phone number and job reference number.

A phone call to the number confirmed the agency offered a "full range of services".

Labour's employment spokeswoman Jenny Macklin said it was outrageous taxpayers' money was being used to recruit
sex workers.

"The employment services minister - Mal Brough - must urgently explain why this advertisement has been distributed through
the Jobsearch database and detail exactly how many job seekers it has been sent to," she said.

While prostitution is legal in Tasmania, brothels are not.

A Berlin woman has complained after receiving an offer from her local job centre to work at a brothel.

The 25-year-old unemployed woman received a letter offering her a job as a barmaid, and was told to get in contact with
her potential employer.

But when she looked up the company's website, she found its services included "hot kisses, tender and cuddly massages
or uninhibited sex".

The head of Berlin job centres, Olaf Moeller, has apologised for the fact staff passed on the offer, the Tagesspiegel writes.

He said a vacancy for a bar tender hadn't struck them as anything out of the ordinary.

"In a metropolis like Berlin, you don't automatically think that this might be a dubious offer," he said.

He said jobcentres were legally permitted to pass on offers for work as a prostitute in Germany, but did not do so as a
matter of principle.

Mr Moeller added that the woman was not obliged to accept the job.

A Malaysian man sliced off his own penis, then fried and ate it after taking hallucinatory pills that caused him to hear voices
urging him to mutilate himself.

The 34-year-old man claimed he only realised what he had done when he saw blood oozing from his crotch, said a
police spokesman in the town of Sitiawan, 190 miles north of Kuala Lumpur.

The man had taken hallucinatory pills before sleeping on Friday and awoke hearing voices telling him to chop off his genitals
and devour it.

He is now in a stable condition in hospital, the national news agency Bernama reported.

The man had recently been released from a drug rehabilitation centre.
