Well March 9, 2004 was a great day. A day that I waited almost 10 years for.
Into The Now, the new Tesla CD was released. In 1994 Tesla released
Bust a Nut, which was their last Studio album. Back
in September 2001 the band released Re plugged live, a Live CD from
their reunion tour.
Tesla is my favorite band. Jeff Keith, Fank Hannon, Tommy Skeoch, Brian Wheat and Troy Luccketta are Tesla.
Tesla came out during the 80's hair band era. They were lumped into
the hair band genre because they had long hair but,
these guys could play. I'm not saying the hair bands were band, hell
that was and is my music. I like some of todays newer
bands but their music can be depressing. I know life sucks. I don't
want to listen to an album or go to a show that is going
to remind me of that. Give me two hours to forget about the every day
crap. Tesla delivered that with songs like "Had
Enough". A song about over indulgence. "Too much to drink,
too much smoke, the better she looked, and that's a whole
lot better then before."
It's great to see the boys back and having some success. The Orpheum
show in 2001 was a sell-out (I was their). Prior to
the release of Into the Now, the boys (Jeff, Frank and Tommy) played
an acoustic set at the Hard Rock in Boston. That
also was a sellout, I wasn't their :(

I'm not an advid follower of the Sapranos but I do admire Jamie-Lynn
Discala (Formerly Jamie-Lynn Sigler). Not only
is she a great actress, but in my opinon a great role model for young women.
Jamie married her manager A.J. Discala last year, a man 10 years her
senior. When recently asked about the age
difference between her husband and her self, she replied, "I
recomend that all women date older men. Men age better."
I'd like all my beautiful 24 - 25 year old lady friends to keep that
in mind next time I speak to them.

I wan't to say thanks to everyone who sent me, called me or stopped by to give me consolences for Edison.
Time heals all wounds and things are better now. I still think about
him from time to time. Any Corgi picture I see reminds
me of the good times.
Even Ami, Edison's daughter, was effected by his passing. At times
she was a witch to him, but you can see the change in
her now that she realizes he is gone.
Thanks.

I haven't written much about Nellos lately.
I'm still going there, almost every weekend. I've missed a few lately due to illness and work.
It is still the best place to go in my opinion for food and drink.
They have a few new waitress. Most of them know me, I guess they have been warned.
I still say, they best way to make my web page is show me a little
skin. I'm not talkin Janet Jackson type exposure, not that
I would complain. Karen (The Bartender, not to be confused with Karen
the Waitress) recently showed off her navel
piercing to me.
I guess Jen, one of the other waitress, has one too. The girls were
all kind of huddled in a circle the other night lifting their
shirts, yes it was kind of hot. I saw Jen when I was leaving and was
going to tell her, Karen said to show me your navel
ring, but I thought that would be kind of creepy. Plus I don't think
she would have believed me.

Welcome to another episode of George Live! Tonight we will be making Ham Steak and Couscous.
Well I may not be Emril, but my cooking is getting a little better. I
recently made a Ham Steak, not a hard meal but I figure
anything that involves the stove and not the Microwave is an
accomplisment for me.
The couscous was great. I gotta thank my youngest sister for that.
She kept telling me I should try it. It's like rice but, in
my opinion a heck of a lot easier to make, and pretty darn tasty.
Boil some water, buter and the "spice" pack. After it comes
to a boil, add the Couscous, stir and remove it from the heat. 5
minutes later, you're ready to eat.

I leave you this month with a few lines from Tesla's "Caught In a Dream"
"I'm caught up in a dream, I'm gonna wish fot it all
No one's gonna tell me how, no way, this is my dream now
I'm caught up in what seems simply impossible
I ain't gonna change a thing, no way, it's my dream, this is my dream"
