My Name is Arthur Jefferies And I am the President of the Oxford And District Amateur Radio Society which was founded in 1923. I took up the hobby of Amateur Radio  when I was 13 years old. I started out as a Short wave listener and joined Radio Society Of Great Britain on the 28th Of July 1934 the R.S.G.B President was Mr A Watts. in 1929 the RSGB gave BRS numbers to non transmitting members and I received the number BRS1499 from the RSGB. On the 17th August 1934. I received the transmitting call sign  2AKB And on the 3rd of July 1937  I received my present call sign G8PX.��
