This reminds me of someone who is concerned with my welfare and is there to watch over me, take care of me, pick up after me, leads me to still waters when I'm thirsty, or when I just need a little peace and quiet.
The Shepherd of my soul, Jesus, does that for me. I don't want for anything, because He IS my everything. The apostle Paul wrote about being content no matter what the circumstance. We have become a society that likes to blame our circumstances, especially the bad, on somebody else, or on something else. Never take any responsibility for anything in our lives... unless it's good.
The Shepherd of your soul, Jesus, is longing to lead you beside still waters, to prepare a table before you and take care of your enemies. (we all want that!)
Psalms 46:10 - Be still, and know that I am God...
He loves you and is waiting to lead you in righteousness; longing to restore you to Him. But we have to be the one to recognize Him for who He is and repent of our sins. His ears are listening for your call to Him; His eyes search for you as you try to hide from Him. Won't you let Him in your life, your soul, your heart?
A little song/chorus that goes like this:
In to my heart, in to my heart,
Come in to my heart Lord, Jesus.
Come in to day, come in to stay.
Come in to my heart Lord, Jesus.
Won't you ask Him in to your heart today?

Midi title: The Lord's Prayer Arranged by: Grace A. Williamson
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:
he leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul:
he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies:
thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.
Psalms 23
