| Outlaw Star is a one of a kind Space Adventure show. It's a must see for everybody. Do NOT let the Toonami version discourage you. Just see it... The best part of Outlaw Star is that it mixes magic with technology almost seemlessly, with neither being too strong against the other. The main antagonists for Gene Starwind and friends either have seriously advanced technological weapons or are seriously strong in magic. The only things that I didn't like, was its atmosphere and style of animation, which gave the series a dirty look, not to mention the inconstitency of both. It's strongest point is the fast paced action mixed in with an occasional spaceship battle. The best episode in my opinion was Cats, Girls and Spaceships, with Hanmyo. I had the empty feeling after the episode ended and I'd like to say the ending was sad but ingenious. |
