| well, hi! i'm avoiding studying for a test... but honestly, today really has been cool. well, the soap opera in "my" life is over... don't ask... and God is good and has shown my peeps some rockin' stuff. anyway, heh, heh, He's shown me cool stuff, too! for instance, last night i got a migraine. not fun at all... being halfway between crying and throwing up never is... but anyway, praise God that that's only the second one i've gotten, and that i got it early enough to still get some sleep! soooooo (sticky o, jed?), God finally let it pass so that i could sleep, and i had some good sleep! so, i had set my alarm for 9:15... but i woke up around 9 when jackie was getting ready for class and i got down and set it to 10. so, i climbed back into bed, fell right back to sleep for another bit of blissful rest. well, again, i woke up before my alarm went off! (i never do that, in case you don't know.) it was about 9:58, so i jumped out of bed to turn it off before i had to hear that highly annoying sound. well, what better way to get ready than while you're listening to Christian music, right? so i turn on the radio (hurray for good Christian stations!) and sit at my computer. i start talking to t green, and she's telling me all about the cool things that God has shown her and done for her, and all of a sudden, i hear this noise... it was my alarm clock, only... <laughter... much, much laughter> it was a MOCKINGBIRD! HA! that made me laugh so hard! especially since it was the morning that i hadn't heard my alarm :) so anyway, that just started my tuesday off wonderfully :) well, classes flew by, and that just makes a good day better, of course. went and got the code that i needed to register for next semester's classes, had a funny lunch, nice afternoon break, and then an entertaining dinner. oh, but the day was not over yet! i decided that i would walk through the parking lot to get back to my room... and we have this bamboo in between the field and the "pit." so as i walk to the dorm, a deer comes racing up through the bamboo and then back down towards the field!!!! so i walk over, thinking, wow, maybe i can still see her... and as i'm about five feet away from the bamboo, a little deer (not quite baby... juvenile, i guess?) comes running past me! wow, i love that!!!! it's happened before, on ICS's retreat... both times were when no one was around, which makes it so much more special. as much as i wish y'all (i really need to find out the proper placement of that apostrophe) had been there to see the coolness of God, it made it much more of a God moment simply b/c it was just me and Him. so now i really need to start studying... the test covers seven chapters! but i thought i'd share with you the cool cool things God's done in my life! love you guys! |
