Well, today has been really, really odd. (like this background color, eh?) God has been really cool through it all though, like always. my day started with me really joyful, and i don't know why (well, God - duh). then, in the typical fashion, God had to use something really simple to get to me. i have this thing for mockingbirds... they are just cool. don't ask, i really don't know. anyway, the other day i realized that i really needed to go out and listen to God. while i know that prayer is supposed to be a conversation, rather than me doing all the talking, i really hadn't been letting Him get a word in edgewise. so, i went and sat on the chapel steps and listened. it was cool. while i was out there, God suggested that i listen to the birds that praise Him. let me tell you, God did some good work on those first seven days - birdsong is so pretty! anyway, a mockingbird flew by me and sat on a tree and would not shut up!!!! he was praising God for all he was worth! it was so cute! anyway, almost everywhere i went today, that little bird was somewhere nearby, singin'. it was great to hear "praise songs" on my way to class, etc. anyway, that was cool story number one :) (oh, yes, there's more) well, my day went on, and it was positively wonderful! everyone was in a good mood and i spent about two hours just talking with beth! but... for some reason, after a while of being back in my dorm, i just didn't want to deal with people. so, when jax went to "the regurgitator" (ask her about that one... goldfish, anyone?) i ended up back in the room. well, an hour of God+guitar therapy is really nice, lemme tell you! THEN, to top it all off, jennie got on and imed me telling me how wonderful God is and what He's up to in her life! that's kinda what got me started on this page, b/c it really encouraged me to hear how God's been working. alright, that's the end, i promise! here're some verses that jennie sent me: 1 pete 1:8&9 have a God-filled day!
