This application is a 5 digit multiplexed BCD input converted to a 7 sement
display with programmable decimal points. Based on the 4 DIDIT BCD4-1
specification from Lascar Electronics. If the inputs are from a PLC then
ensure that the maximum level is +5V, if a 24V level is provided use an
attenuator.

Character control for each individual display and associated load pins.

When the Enable (EN) is low the display will not update and the previous BCD
selection is held.

BCD inputs are on RD0 (LSD), RD1, RD2 & RD3 (MSD). The enable logic is on RC0
(digit 1), RC1, RC2, RC3 & RC4 (digit 5). Decimal points are high to enable and
low to disable and are on RD4 (8888.8), RD5, RD6 & RD7 (8.8888).

The checksum of the code is F35A.
