OK, if you believe that you're obviously getting goths confused with Mansonites. I mean I like some of his music but he's pretty sick and I wouldn't wanna be like him.
Some people also think Manson started goth. He didn't. It was bands like The Cure, Souxie And The Banshees and Sisters Of Mercy who are the furthest tracable ancestors of goth; as well as the punks; although it's changed quite a lot since then. The two genres kinda merged so instead of being either mellow or angry, you get goth...
I'd also like to point out that goths don't appreciate being called 'Manson' or 'mosher' (and Mansonites and moshers don't really apreciate being called goths)... although it's mainly just the townies (in their ignorance) that call us that kinda thing... although I don't mind being called freak, although I think most goths do... I'm just a self-proclaimed freak... |
