The Existence and Nature of God

From the Holy Bible; “ In the beginning, God created the heaven and earth. And the earth was without form and void, and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, “Let there be light. And there was Light”.

The validity of the existence and nature of God was clearly explained in the Hindu Philosophy, the Brahma, Vishnu, and Siva, represented the three powers by the word AUM or AOM. From the Christian Doctrine, God Divinity consist the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

In the Egyptian Mysteries, it was represented by the Osiris, Isis and Horus which were later adapted by the cult of the Persian Mithras, the Greek Eleusinian, and the Hebrew Kaballah. The Kaballistic doctrine clearly expressed the principle of the existence of God through astrology and numbers.

According to the Kabbalists, The monad or God (number 1) represented harmony, order or good principle, (the one and only God, the Father).

Duad, is the origin of contrast. It is the imperfect condition when he himself detaches from monad or God. However, the Spiritual Being emanating from God, are enveloped in the Duad  and therefore, receive only illusory impressions. This is expressed in by the binary number; good and evil, night and day, light and darkness, wet and dry, error and truth. In Christian Faith, Jesus Christ (the Son), man ( the passive and active) and the human soul ( the detached image of monad or God the Supreme Being). This is represented by number 2 or 11 (image of 1).

The monad was male because its action produces no change in itself, but only out of itself. It represents the creative principle. The duad was female because it is ever changing by addition, subtraction or multiplication.

The union of the monad (1) and duad (11) produces the triad (111 or 3), the perfect number of creation, signifying the world formed by the creative principle out of matter. It includes the properties of 1 and 11 which is the image of the Supreme Being (1), the Divine Essence. Thus, the Trinity consists of :

                                                        1

                                                    1      1

In Freemasonry, the compass symbolizes the monad or the male principle. And the square symbolizes the female.

So mote It be.
