Each mobile suit has its own set of strengthes and weaknesses. Two of these opposing attributes stand out more than the rest, and are listed below. The remaining abilities are detailed in the profile that follows. These define the suit's proficiency in these areas, and give an idea of where they truly excell, and fall short. Keep them in mind whenever you take your machine into combat. Strongest Ability : Long-Range Combat Weakest Ability : Speed/Maneverability Armaments: MR-67 Assault Rifle x 1: A high powered beam-type projectile weapon, the MR-67 is the standard in law enforcement mobile suits. It maintains more than respectable stopping power while still remaining relatively energy efficient. Shoulder-Mounted Stiletto Missile Launchers x 2: Inset shoulder missile launchers, which fire the compact but high velocity Stiletto-type missile. The load carried varies depending upon optional armament carried. Chest-Mounted Neo-Vulcan x 2: An upgraded version of the Vulcan cannon, featuring ammunition with limited heat-seeking capabilities. Optional Armaments: Beam Sabre x 1: The standard in I-Field melee weaponry. Stingray Bazooka: A bazooka firing plasma heated explosive shells, devastating when impacting directly with an enemy, and damaging in a periphery sense as well. The key feature of the Stingray model is the remote detonation device integrated into the base gun. When pressed, this piece of equipment detonates the shell, making it easier to score indirect hits. Story: Constructed in a prototype form in AC 229, the Law is simply but aptly named. It is the OCBP's first attempt at a mobile suit design. Chosen for the maiden flight of the Law is one of the OCBP's finest agents, Mira Nanoko. It is actually due to this choice that the Law contains the Psychic System Interface, an attempt to increase it's effectiveness, profiting from Mira's psychic abilities. The Law was designed with one thing in mind: Stopping Power. It bears an impressive array of ballistic and long-range weaponry, but lacks speed and maneuverability. The thinking behind this is that the Law can disable from afar, with smaller scout-type vehicles backing it up, should pursuit prove necessary. The engineering staff of the OCBP have a lot riding on the Law, such as further funding, and in a few cases, their jobs themselves. |
