| Description:
Although Mitsukake's past is not explained as vividly as the pasts of his fellow seishi, we learn of his sadness nonetheless. He, the doctor that he was, had traveled to a foreign viallge to heal the victims of a strange epidemic. His companion, Shouka, had fallen ill and was lying upon her death bed, only able to withstand the pain of her illness by retaining the hope that her love would come back to her. Mitsukake returned a short time later to find that Shouka was dead.
