Loved, but Sad
- Taii give the seishi "gifts" for their effort thus far (but Tama appears not to get anything due to the "old fart" comment). Tasuki gets a silver tessen (fan), Hotohori gets a holy sword, Nuriko gets some cool bracelets, Chirchiri gets some new beads around this neck, Chriko gets some scrolls, and Mits gets some Holy water. These things increase each of their powers. Miaka gets sprinkled with ashes that will give her power. Taii also talks to Miaka alone....
- Yui is eating and Nakago comes in telling her that something disturbing has happened. They see Suboshi suffering emotional pain cause of his brother, Amiboshi's death. Yui comforts him.
- Taii explains to Miaka, alone, that Yui and her seishi will also be in pursuit of the Shinzaho as well, so she will have to oppose her. There is also something very strict and hard that Miaka will have to do........
- The seishi talk outside the shrine and Tama steals Tasuki's tessen.....they brawl, very funny!!! Miaka comes out and they go back to the palace.
- Miaka goes to Tama's room and thinks about what Taiisukun said to her. (we don't know what it is yet) They talk and Tama proposes to her!!! But, thinking about what she has to do, she fakes that she doesn't care about him and leaves.......very upset. Tama is very upset also. She had to break up with him.........but why?
- Next day, Miaka, Nuriko, and Tasuki decide to go to the Star Watching Festival that night. They see a depressed Tama, and Miaka tries to be buddy buddy with him........but he just doesn't understand.
- Chiriko and Hoto decide that the best way to get to Hokkan is by water, so Hoto will arrange a ship to be ready for them to leave the day after tomorrow.
- Yui and Suboshi go to Seiryuu's hall where Nakago is praying. Yui asks why he is....for they have failed. But Nakago introduces her to Taiisukun who tells them about the Shinzaho. This Taii is different......i guess there is one for every country.
- Miaka and Chichiri have a nice talk. She asks him why he wears a mask all the time, and he explains the story. When he was 18, he had a fiance and a best friend. The best friend took his fiance away, and Chichiri lost control and killed him. Feeling horrible, he gave himself a scar in his left eye so that he will always remember his friend. (they show a flashback of the whole thing....he looks scary!!!!!) Miaka asks him for advice about going against Yui and all he says is that Yui loves him......but she just doesn't realize it yet.
- Miaka, Tasuki, and Nuriko go to the festival.
