Interior/Stereo Mods
Boot subwoofer
Boot sub-woofer. I installed a sub by walling off the portion of the boot space  between the strut towers with a bit of MDF board and mounting the sub in it. Found a bit of matching carpet at an upholsterers and hey bingo! Factory lookin sub! Note tunable breather port on the left and silver 10 disk CD changer near top middle. CD changer is hard mounted to the parcel tray and sub enclosure fits snugly around it. For the best sound ensure the enclosure is as air tight as possible. I used polystyrene to block up any offending holes. Sounds great!
Door mounted tweater
Door mounted tweater. I got hold of a couple of tweater speakers from a late model Legacy GT and mounted them on the inside of the wing mirror mounts. They wouldnt fit without minor modification which basically involved cutting of the plastic mounting legs from the speaker and then fixing them to the door with wood screws! Be careful not to wind the screws in to far as it will interfere with the window operation. Sounds awesome.
Dash area mods
Dash area mods. 3 mods evident here. Starting on the right is the turbo timer which is mounted in the coin tray! Fitted perfectally. 2nd is the steering wheel which is factory standard except I've removed the middle padded portion to reveal the mounting screws for a 'harder' look. Remounted the horn button with a bit of glue :). 3rd is the boost guage (behind window wiper stalk). Mounted the guage in an unused switch panel. The steering gear does restrict viewing a bit but only in the lower boost portion. Otherwise works well. Esential equipment when playing with boost adjustments.
