Title: Those Eyes
Author: Fyre
Rating: PG.
Warning: Slash
Feedback: Loved. Absolutely. I even like flames.
Disclaimer: Poppy Z Brite has total control over these characters, but .. I have an odd feeling she wouldn't be too adverse to the whole slash idea. XD

Nothing, curled up on a warm chest, hand twined in soft hair, feet snuggled against comfortable and strong legs and mouth sleepily nuzzling a neck, dreamed. He dreamed of green eyes, of green liquid and of green streets. He dreamed of gold, purple and green, intertwined in ribbons, rivers and hair. He dreamed of being followed, of following, of drinking and of being drunk. He dreamed of vans, of floors and of blood.

He dreamed of blinking lights, flashing in those green eyes. Those green eyes that were everywhere, looking from every corner and from behind every streetlamp. Those eyes that followed, that were followed, that were drunk and that drank. Those eyes that were made of an endless radiance, shining with some unearthly force. Those eyes that knew everything, knew everyone and knew everywhen.

Nothing dreamed of those eyes and soon enough he dreamed of nothing else. The eyes were all that mattered, those green eyes that dripped with an alcohol not even Chartreuse could match.

In Nothings dream the eyes swallowed him and he was yanked awake. For a minute, his eyes, now wide open and darting around, trying to distinguish something in the dark, enveloping cave of a room around him, for a minute he could still see only those eyes. Then, he moved his head so he could see the face of who he was laying on and cringed, wholly expecting to see the eyes of this person open and for those eyes to be those eyes.

Christian mumbled something as he wrapped an arm around Nothings small waist. His eyebrows crinkled, then, as Nothings vision adjusted more and more to the shadows enclosed all around them, Christians eyes opened.

Those eyes, no longer the hauntingly luminescent green Nothing nightmares were troubled by, were warm, sleepy and gentle. Nothing smiled and his own eyes closed.
