Do you think we should analyze the samples of lava that we found on Sif Mons? I said to my crewmate. Why not? he replied. After we analyzed the lava, my crewmate muttered gloomily, There are bits of sulfur and carbon in them, but no signs of life. After a few more moments of observation, we were bored of our pointless scrutiny and headed over to another section of Venus. Driving the rover was more difficult than we expected. Since our rocket landed near Sif Mons, it was a relatively short drive yesterday but today the long drive and the altered gravity proved to be a great nuisance. We had to drive far across Venuss depressingly hot, rocky and isolated plains to reach our destination. Luckily, we brought lots of fresh water, but we were still thirsty and dehydrated. Venus was deficient in resources necessary for living organisms, but we have not given up our search for intelligent life.
