Once same-sex marriage is the law of the land, any group or school that does not support "equality" and full acceptance of homosexual behavior will be the targets of similar wrath - as well as defendants in lawsuits. ******* Once legal, these trendy new marriage "rights" are likely to trump any constitutional guarantees of free speech and religious liberty, and local parents who weren't paying attention will watch helplessly as their children are brainwashed - and seduced - into the new behaviors. The practice of bisexuality, currently popular among teens, will skyrocket. ******* The pro-homosexual agenda directed to children is under way now on a limited scale; all that prevents the tidal wave from sweeping over every child in our country is the official endorsement marriage would provide. ******* Groups like GLSEN (the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network) and PFLAG (Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays) have helped start some 2,000 homosexual clubs in American schools. Most are at the high school level, with a few emerging in middle schools. GLSEN's goal is to establish clubs in as many elementary schools as possible using the rationale that these students, who they imply were probably born this way, need "support systems" to avoid harassment and discrimination. ******* Yet both GLSEN and PFLAG advocate book selections for youth that include positive portrayals of homosexual sex between boys, pornography use, cheating on a spouse with a homosexual lover, homosexual sex between underage youth and adults, and straight and "gay" experimentation by "uncertain" youth. ******* If homosexual marriage becomes equal to heterosexual unions, then equal opportunities for same-sex and opposite-sex socializing and dating must be made available to youth to avoid accusations of "discrimination." And so more experimentation - with approval by enlightened adults - can be expected to follow. ******* School literature will be adopted to reflect a positive view of the homosexual family as a future option for every child. Josh will learn that he can grow up and marry a girl or a boy. And since at age 6 he probably hasn't yet discovered his sexual "identity," the fair thing will be to present all angles to him in language, health, music and social studies. ******* The new wave of openly homosexual teachers, more than willing to fill any teacher shortages in order to interact with budding youth, are sure to help with this increased workload. ******* But the new paradigm won't dissolve at the schoolhouse door. Television and film, already dominated by sexual minority sympathizers, will introduce creative expressions of the new equality. Children's cartoons will present gender-bending super-heroes. Cross-dressers, feminized boys and masculine girls will appear regularly on Nickelodeon and popular sit-coms. My wife Cheryl did the same over four years ago. ******* Homosexuality is a clinical developmental gender identity disorder. There is quantitative scientific research on the subject and thousands of individual case studies that prove, that person�s with homosexual ideations can and have changed through clinical therapy and counseling. There is no biological evidence, not one repeatable study, not a single genetic test that gives any validity to homosexual behavior as a �born� trait. No one is born Gay, no one! Homosexuality is an emotional disorder, a pathology that can be and has been effectively changed when a person is highly motivated to change. ******* Both my wife and I are victims of child abuse. They claimed they were born in the wrong bodies. Before the Criminal Justice Committee was the clinical walking, talking evidence of severe gender identity confusion. But some members of that committee in the 123rd G.A. enabled that confusion with sympathy instead of empathy. ******* Tens of thousands of homosexuals have changed and more desire to change. Homosexuality is a behavior -- not a genetic trait. Based on verifiable evidence, there is no justification for same sex marriage, civil unions or domestic partnership legislation. None. ******* My wife and I are living proof, along with thousands of others, that persons with same sex attraction can and have changed, and thereby have the right to marry. ******* We have chosen to follow the Manufactures� specific guidelines for our lives. That means, committed to one another as man and woman. ******* Remember Vermont, whose state motto is �Don�t Tread on Me.� Well, with Paul Bunyon-like boots, Vermont�s Supreme Court tread on the entire nation. The Vermont Supreme Court�s decision, in spite of over two hundred years of American history, suddenly found that their state constitution allows for gay marriage or domestic partnership. I am really curious, how did they miss that for two hundred years?! ******* ow Massachusetts has arrogantly instructed their legislature, in a complete reversal of powers, to change their laws regarding marriage. Four Massachusetts black-robed � justices� suddenly found that their state constitution allowed for gay marriage. Now how did Massachusetts with over 350 years of common law and 225 years of constitutional law overlook the right of homosexuals to marry? ******* The Congress of the United States, in response to the homosexual tactics in Hawaii, which were then threatening the nation with same-sex marriage, passed the Defense of Marriage Act, signed into law by President Clinton, allowing the states to protect their citizens from the assault on marriage by the homosexual lobby. ******* Ohio must defend her citizens by defending marriage, not enabling the disorder of homosexuality. ******* Homosexuality is a Gender Identity Disorder. A disorder can be put into order when an individual wants to order his or her life according to the Manufacturer�s design. ******* The State of Ohio must not become an enabler of this disorder. Dr. Xiridou's introduction to this study states: "Data from the Amsterdam Cohort Study (ACS) among young homosexual men suggest that a substantial proportion of new HIV infections occur within steady partnerships. Despite the intensive campaign promoting safe sex practices among homosexual men in Amsterdam, risk-taking remains at substantial levels, especially among steady partners." ******* The study surveyed the differences in the spread of HIV infections among so-called "casual" sexual partners and those who considered themselves to be "steady" sex partners. ******* This study began in 1995 and was comprised of homosexual males under the age of 30. Every six months they were given self-administered questionnaires to fill out on their sex habits. The study ended in 1996. ******* Researchers discovered that homosexuals engaging in "casual" encounters had an average of between 16-28 sexual partners each year. Those in so-called "steady" relationships had an average of 6-10 sex partners outside of their steady sex partner. ******* In short, even in relationships that are considered "steady" by homosexual couples, they are still engaging in sodomy to as many as six to ten other individuals. ******* The study also showed that these allegedly steady relationships actually resulted in a wider spread of HIV infection among sex partners. Why? Because of "unsafe" sexual practices. The researchers concluded, "ACS revealed that between 1994 and 2000, young seroconverters were more likely to have contracted HIV from their steady partner than from casual partners." ******* What Does This Study Mean For The United States? ******* Homosexual sex habits are basically the same regardless of the culture they live in - especially in pro-homosexual environments like the U.S. and The Netherlands. ******* Homosexuals who claim that they want to be "married", are likely to spread AIDS far more rapidly than those who engage in anonymous sex in "gay" bars. ******* Homosexual activist Andrew Sullivan, writing in Virtually Normal says that heterosexuals will have to understand that among homosexuals there is: "the need for extramarital outlets" that is far greater than among heterosexuals. He notes, "The truth is, homosexuals are not entirely normal; and to flatten their varied and complicated lives into a single, moralistic model is to miss what is essential and exhilarating about their otherness." (pp. 202-203). ******* Sullivan confirms what the Amsterdam study found: Homosexuals have no intention of remaining monogamous, even if they win the "right" to marry. The case pits Virginia law, which does not recognize same-sex unions, against Vermont law, which recognizes same-sex civil unions. Ms. Miller is represented by Mathew D. Staver, President and General Counsel of Liberty Counsel, and Rena Lindevaldsen, Senior Litigation Counsel. ******* Lisa Miller and Janet Jenkins cohabited in a same-sex relationship for several years in Virginia. In December 2000, Lisa and Janet traveled to Vermont and entered into a civil union. Vermont is the only state to authorize civil unions. They returned to Virginia, and while there, Lisa gave birth to a child through artificial insemination. Lisa and Janet later moved to Vermont and lived there for approximately one year before the couple ended their relationship, in part because of Janet's abuse. Lisa, who has become a Christian, moved back to Virginia with her daughter. Janet continues to reside in Vermont, where she filed a complaint to establish "parent-child contact." Lisa filed an action in Virginia to determine parentage. The Virginia court issued an order determining Lisa to be the sole parent and refused to recognize the Vermont order. ******* At issue is which court order prevails. Vermont, which recognizes same-sex unions, has authorized "parent-child contact" of a nonparent (Janet) with the child of the biological parent (Lisa). However, Virginia's Marriage Affirmation Act expressly forbids same-sex marriage or civil unions, and the Virginia court determined that Lisa has sole parental rights and has refused to recognize the Vermont order. The federal Parental Kidnapping Prevention Act (PKPA), codified at 28 U.S.C. 1738A, requires states to recognize out-of-state custody determinations, but the federal Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA), passed after the PKPA and codified in the same statute at 28 U.S.C. 1738C, expressly declares that states do not have to recognize out-of-state, same-sex unions. Liberty Counsel's brief argues that the federal DOMA prevails over the federal PKPA on matters relating to same-sex unions, that Virginia law does not recognizes same-sex unions, and that any interference with Lisa's paren! tal rights to raise her child would violate her parental rights guaranteed by the federal Constitution. Liberty Counsel represents Lisa in the Virginia and the Vermont actions. ******* Staver, stated: "Same-sex unions will inevitably cause havoc among the states, and one state law collides with another.
