03-10-05 In Canada, as in most, if not all countries, the family is under relentless siege by the forces of the culture of death. In Canada about half of all marriages end with divorce. Canada's Government spends millions of dollars to get children away from their mothers by promoting day care. Since the 1960's the Federal Government has been using the income tax act to cause societal changes, among which is the destruction of the family. Pierre Trudeau legalized contraception, abortion and sodomy. Jean Chretien is attempting to equate sodomy with marriage. He has just succeeded in legalizing same-sex "marriage". Thus he is attempting to raise an unnatural act to the status of a sacrament and at the same time is trying to reduce a sacrament to a sinful lifestyle. Pro family organizations and individuals have resisted these changes.
