Memorial to Bud Sheridan
Charles E. "Bud" Sheridan III Charles E. 'Bud' Sheridan, III NEW OXFORD Charles E. 'Bud' Sheridan, III, 73, formerly of Baltimore, Md., died Thursday, November 20, 2008, at Cross Keys Village Brethren Home in New Oxford. The son of the late Charles E. and Lillian (Lockner) Sheridan, Jr. of Hampstead, Md., Bud served his country in the Army's 101st Airborne Division. Mr. Sheridan was a retired truck driver who loved to volunteer his time to help others. He did so at the Adams County Mission, the Freedom Valley Worship Center and also at the McSherrystown Senior Center. Preceding Mr. Sheridan in death was a son, Charles E. Sheridan, IV. Surviving Bud is his daughter, Roxanne Mejia of New Oxford her husband, Rosalio Mejia, and their children, Robert Rudisill, Jr. and Brandon, Christian and Lilliana Mejia. Mr. Sheridan's daughter, Jocelyn Stambaugh of New Oxford also survives Bud as do her children, Tyler Frye of Chambersburg and Terry Hartlaub of New Oxford. Also left behind are two other daughters, both of Baltimore, Md., Phyllis and Cathy. Mr. Sheridan's sister, Pat Owens of Marshall, Virginia and her husband, Richard and their children, David and Michael Lauterbach survive Bud. Also surviving is his sister, Lois Ashe of Hampstead, Maryland and her children, Donna Ankrom, Bruce and Donald Steger, Jr. Mr. Sheridan will be greatly missed by his close and loving friends: Jim, June, Larry, Julie and Rick. A memorial service will be held at The Freedom Valley Worship Center, 3185 York Road, Gettysburg, Tuesday, December 2, 2008, at 6 p.m. Pastor Jerry Stolzfus will officiate. Everyone is welcome to attend. Memorial contributions may be made to The Freedom Valley Worship Center. The family would like to extend their thanks to both the Feiser Funeral Home of New Oxford and also to Auer Cremation Services of Pennsylvania, Harrisburg, to whom arrangements are entrusted.
