Knitting

Sitcom Chic

This was a very fun pattern, which I really enjoyed making. I decided to make my sweater with two yarns held together, one plain, one sparkly. This worked out fine and I got the proper gauge; however, the resulting fabric is quite dense. Additionally, the sleeves which were supposed to be 3/4 length ended up being a bit too long for 3/4 but a bit too short for full-length. So, taking into account the sleeve length and fabric, I decided to make it into a winter cardigan and lengthened the sleeves. I picked up stitches around the sleeve cast on edges, and added some ribbing. I think it came out great! (Click on the photos to see them at full size.)

Pattern: Sitcom Chic
Needles: Size 5 and 8
Yarns (two held together):
Lion Brand Microspun in Ebony; 7 balls
Patons Brilliant in Black Dazzle; 9 balls
