Basketweave Purse

This purse was somewhat of an experiment in design. It is also half-knitted and half-crocheted. I had found a knitted basketweave stitch pattern that I liked and so I made the flap of the purse in that pattern. However the body of the bag is crocheted which I felt was a bit more sturdy for a purse, as it is not lined. The strap is an i-cord. (Click on the photo to see it at full size.)
