The Brigadier: What you need, Doctor, as Miss Shaw herself so often remarked, is someone to pass you your test tubes and tell you how brilliant you are.
The Doctor: You know, Brigadier, your methods have about the refined subtlety of a bull in a china shop.
The Doctor: You know, Joe, I sometimes think that "military intelligence" is a contradiction in terms.
Joe: Doctor, stop being childish.
The Doctor: What? You mean to tell me you haven't got a scanning molecular analyer? Oh, really Brigadier.
The Brigadier: It seems you may be right, Doctor.
The Master: Good afternoon, Doctor. I trust I'm not interrupting anything?
Joe: Doctor, if you're driving, I want to get off.

The Doctor: [after losing a game of checkers] Well, the trouble with this game is it's too simple.
The Brigadier: Seargant, you're supposed to be suffering concussion.
The Doctor: Brigadier, for once in your life, could you arrive before the nick of time?
The Brigadier: Well, unless you have a better idea, I don't see what else we can do.

The Brigadier: I see, Yates. So the Doctor was frozen stiff as a barrel and then revived by a freak heat wave. Benton was beaten up by invisible forces and the local white witch claims she's seen the Devil.
The Brigadier: When will you be ready?
The Brigadier: Are you sure you know what you're doing.
The Doctor: Oh, no!
The Doctor: What's wrong with being childish? I like being childish.
The Doctor: I usually am.
The Doctor: No, indeed not. I take it you'll come here to kill me?
The Brigadier: I'm glad to see you, too, Doctor.
The Doctor: My dear Brigadier, of course I have a better idea!
The Doctor: Bessie, how dare you go gallavanting around like that? [Bessie honks once] Are you sorry? [Bessie honks twice] Very well, I forgive you. Now, go back to your parking place before I change my mind.
Yates: Yes, sir.
The Doctor: Next Christmas, I shouldn't wonder. At a rough estimate, of course.
The Doctor:[grins] I can't wait to findo out.
