She didn't know his name, she didn't have to. All she needed was the information about the dyrling man Blake and his connection to Derrick. Why was Derrick and Felicity here? She walked to the front door and unlocked it. Her regulars start drinking early in the morning. The door opened behind her instantly and the nameless man stood there, a smirk fixated on his gaunt face.
"I have your information." he simply said. Tiffani walked behind him and locked the door, beckoning him over to the bar.
"Tell me everything." she said, pouring a shot of tequila for them each.
"Your man, Blake, lives across the other side of town. He lives alone except for a rat which I can safely assume is not his pet. A man named Derrick visited him twice, once with a female. He sits outside the tavern and waits everynight. Once I asked why and he just said he was waiting for someone. Anything else you wanted to know?" he asked, taking one of the freshly cut limes from Tiffani.
"Yes. How long did this man Derrick stay at his house each time?" she asked, pushing the shot of tequila to him and pouring salt in his hand.
"Thanks. About 5 hours the first, 2 the second. I think they have a business agreement. I saw Derrick hand him a pouch." he said, just remembering.
"Very good. I get first pick from his possessions and everything else shall be yours. Come. We have much work to do." she said, taking her shot and sliding the empty glass down the bar. "Excuse me?" the man asked, quite shocked. "You want your reward don't you?" she smirked, grabbing the rest of the tequila bottle. The man took his shot, shook his head once and banged it on the bar. "You mean I have to get my own reward? That was never part of the plan" he said angrily. Tiffani shrugged. "I don't -need- you however you are more than welcome to join me. Whatever he has, you can take once he's dead." she said, pulling a hooded robe over her eyes. The man narrowed his eyes. "Fine, but I get first choice." he followed her. Tiffani spun around and grabbed him roughly by his throat. "You get second choice or no choice at all. Comprehend?" she said in a soft venomous voice. He gasped for air as she drew her dagger and he quickly nodded once it was in sight. "Very good. Follow my lead." she snarled, slipping through the back door, the man right behind her.
It's not hard to find someone if you have the right sources. Tiffani walked to a man on the side of the road, his skin black as the path they walked on. She swayed her hip as she moved beside him, giving him a peck on the cheek. "How's my favourite criminal this eve?" she smiled. "What do you want angel?" he asked, his eyes fixed on the man behind Tiffani. "I'm looking for a couple, just arrived. Derrick and Felicity. Know where they'd be?" she asked quietly. The old man lifted one crooked finger and pointed down a path. Tiffani glanced down it, two people walking towards them in the distance. A flurry of excitement filled her bones. "Thank you my dear friend. You never fail to disappoint." she smirked, passing him the half full bottle of tequila they had had shots from not minutes before. "A pleasure, as always Tiff." he smiled toothlessly. Tiffani was just moments away from achieving her goal, her one dream that haunted her at night.
They were so close. She darted down an alley that ran parallel to the path Derrick and Felicity were travelling along, the man hot on her trail. Once she could hear their voices she slowed down to a stroll, then to an inaudibly slow walk. She motioned for the man to grab Derrick as she snuck between two buildings. They walked past without seeing Tiffani. She picked up an empty bottle that was wedged in the sand and walked out behind them.
"Going somewhere?" she asked as she broke the bottle over Felicity's head, glass shattering over her body. She fell to the floor, knocked out unconscious. Derrick jumped back, unarmed and alone. "Derrick. Long time no see." she said coldly. He actually looked glad to see her. "Tiffani? I've been waiting for you. I wanted to se.." he started before Tiffani's helper jumped on him, slamming him to the ground. Derrick panted, winded and hurt while the other man sat on him, binding his hands together roughly. "Waited for me? You don't know what it means to wait. I waited for years for you, only to find out you are engaged to my sister. I'm done waiting." she said, the same cold expression over her partially hidden face. Felicity and Derrick were dragged off the street and to the back of the tavern where Derrick was tied to a post. Felicity was locked in an old wooden box. "It's time for my revenge." she whispered, following slowly behind.
