Aftermath
After the dropping of the atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, the truth began to come out of the war crimes Japan had committed.  The United States gave the Japanese workers in that unit amnesty for their trove of findings.  They were later returned to the Japanese, and the workers, including Ishii, were permitted to live in peace for the rest of their lives.
